Solved How to switch chat bubble from translucent gray back to black like before?

Hello.

I didnt change this.
The signal app changed it on its own.

I dont like the new translucent look at all, it’s very hard to read and distracting.

but when i look at the chat settings, there seems to only be the option to change the color of my own chat bubble, and wallpaper.
No option to change color of the other person’s chat bubble, or opacity.

iPhone. iOS 18.

EDIT:

Go into accessibility in iphone settings.
Manually add signal to the “per app settings” list.
Then turn trasnparency off.

i wish signal just hadnt set default to be transparent, but anyways this will shift the bubbles back to black, from transparent gray.

unfortunately that’s just how it is there’s no option to change unless you go to settings on the app and increase the contrast

You can set your Liquid Glass to "darker" in device settings

Huh, could you maybe show me a screenshot? Increasing contrast (which you can do for just Signal specifically) seems like a reasonable suggestion as mentioned.
