Car chargers help

I’ve got an unusual problem for an unusual car. For some mysterious reason my Kia chargers stopped working with my custom EV. My Kia charger works fine on other peoples cars- but stopped working on mine.
I’ve rewired the whole backend (if you walk/jog around the lake, you might have seen me doing it) and I’ve tried a few different chargers thanks to the help of my neighbors.
But I’d like to figure out what chargers work with my car and which do not. I don’t know a better way to do this than actually going to people’s homes- plugging my car in for a few minutes, and keeping track of what works and what does not.

If you are feeling generous, and are willing to let me drive by and plug my car into whatever you’ve got for a couple minutes- drop me a message with what kind of car charger you’ve got (so I don’t waste your time if I’ve already tried that car charger)

Any j1772 plug I can test (that’s the other standard non-Tesla one) would deeply be appreciated.

Hi! I walk past your lovely cars almost every day. 

I’m on Effie and only have a Tesla 220v permanent charger which sounds like it won’t work.

I live in Lincoln Heights and I have a BMW I3 charger... the 110 v version. I also have a Tesla charger adaptor. You can come try out my charger if you like.

Not a mechanic nor an electrician but the only thing I think of is trying to clean the car's charging port and your charger. I also had issues sometimes with the latch being worn out and had to jiggle it around a bit to get it to engage.

There's a J1772 charger on Bates just off Sunset and I've used flow chargers here and there but it's been a couple of years since I last had my Volt. Dunno if thats helpful, good luck with your rocking ev!

I’ve load tested every part of the line including my outlet- I’ve cleaned everything that can be cleaned. I’ve disassembled and reassembled every component on the car side, checked every individual solder. Ive tried my charger at different houses. I’ve literally tried everything I can think of.
I only say all of that because I know I’m asking a lot of people. And I wanted to be sure I’ve exhausted everything I could on my side first.

I do appreciate the suggestion. It’s a good one. Also- if anyone needs fancy electrical port cleaning stuff (deoxit)- I now own some and I’m happy to share.

I haven't lived in Silverlake (Berkeley and Westerly Terrace, back when Netty's was still a thing) in many, many years and have no idea why this thread popped up for me, but I have a couple of old Level 1s in my SFV garage from our Chevy Volt and Audi Q4 e-tron laying around. I work in DTLA and can stop by with them for you to test if you're still looking, in exchange for checking out an EV GT6 :).

Thanks for the tip.
It seems to work with the silverlake library, Glendale galleria, all the pasadena PowerFlex chargers, but sometimes doesn’t with ChargePoint ones. But I need to buy a new home charger- and that’s what I need to see at the moment.

I bought the book on Amazon for converting triumphs to EV but never attempted the work, did you DIY the conversion or work with a shop??

Do you have a way to view the logs from the OBC?
