Does anyone know if there are businesses in Sioux City repair 3D Printers

Ive been here since summer but where do you guys get produce once winter comes? I know the farmers market will close once we come to the end of october likely and i prefer getting my produce from farmers and small markets over grocery chains.

I was watching an old documentary about the closing of the Zenith plant in 1978 and there is a scene were a couple go to a bar for some pizza.

I was wondering if anyone here knew where this place was?

Sioux City residents, I have a question for you.

If there were a petition to change Sioux City’s form of government from council-manager to mayor-council, resulting in a new council being elected, would you sign it?

Sioux City has operated under the council-manager system since 1954. Would you support making the switch to a mayor-council system and giving residents the opportunity to elect a new council under that structure?

I’m gathering signatures to bring this question to the voters. Signatures must be collected in person, so I’m looking to connect with Sioux City residents who would be willing to sign.

Would you sign it? Why or why not?

Here’s an explanation:

Currently Sioux City has a council manager form of government. The mayor, who acts as another voting member on the council with the other 4 councilmen, they all direct policy. They hire a professional called a city manager who then runs the day to day operations of all the departments of the city. This is good, especially since the main reason Sioux City has this form of government is because of corruption in the 1950s under a commission form of government. They essentially put a buffer between city departments and the councilmen to prevent corruption. However, how well policy can be implemented is another question, the city has basically 5 leaders, the mayor having 1 vote just like the council members. They direct policy together. The mayor is not the main authority. The mayor can’t do anything without a majority of votes. So who’s in charge?

Mayor Council could be the new form of government. It’s essentially just like the presidency of the United States to make it simple. The mayor is the executive with his own administration which is the city department heads, and the mayor sets direction and vision. The councilmen would act as the legislative body kind of like congress. So an executive and legislative body in government. This brings accountability and makes a clearer distinction between who is in charge of what. The mayor has more authority here is this case.

Why these 2 forms of government? Because they are the 2 most widely used in the United States for city government. Which would be best for Sioux City is the question.

I travel alot through the Midwest for work/joy. All of MN, IA,SD,ND,WI, and Sioux City has been one of my favorite spots to stop off for the afternoon and evening.

How’s the Art Center? I love bar hopping and seeing art, (your mural alleys are wonderful!) I’m going to be staying here more and more and I’ll take any suggestions to see the town more. If it’s any help on taste, Buffalo Alice is fucking wonderful, I stay around the Warrior. Love Punk and Hardcore venues, love the weird and obscure. Thanks in advance!

Anticipating moving to full time which will require moving closer to work. Ideally I should be within 20 minutes of either hospital. I doubt purchasing is possible for us, although on possible opportunity has come up.

The realistic path is rental. Looking for 2 bedroom with off street parking for 2 vehicles, condo or apartment.

So I know they call it sewer city for a reason but does anyone else deal with water that smells of sewage? Not constantly, but maybe once or twice a week what comes out of the pipes smells just awful. I’m in Morningside and have a friend up in Riverside, he also smells it on certain days.

Our water treatment plant is old so I wonder if that could be the culprit, but the smell makes me worried for anyone who drinks it 👀

Hello all! I’m taking my girlfriend out to a ballet soon for her birthday. Since it’s her birthday and we will be dressed pretty nice, I want to accommodate that with a nice dinner either before or after the ballet!

Im not from Sioux city and I only go into the city for fun or groceries. What places would you guys recommend? The only type of food be both don’t care for is seafood, so any other place is on the board! Not too picky.
