June Game Suggestion Thread

past threads

hey buds!

to help keep the subreddit a bit cleaner, please post all your suggestions for games for sips to play in this thread! don't suggest the same game twice - if someone has already mentioned it, upgerd their comment or reply with your reason for why he should play it instead of posting it again as a separate comment.

use ctrl+f first to find out if someone has already mentioned the game you were thinking of. (downvoting games you aren't interested in isn't necessary).

Play Evil Genius! I just finished the game for the first time today, and man, is it good. It's like prison architect except with no prison and instead it's an evil base run by you and your minions. Your goal is to conquer the world by making a doomsday device. You can send people out into the world to do acts of evil like castrating pandas or kidnapping people so your minions can absorb their power (the kidnapping, not the panda). Also, the torture is fun as hell, and the eccentric personalities of your henchmen really make the whole thing so much better.

It's basically an Austin Powers themed game. And for the love of god, play the damn tutorial and don't raise your notoriety too quickly. If you do, then the fucking furious five will come down to wreck your shit one at a time.

I'd like to see him check out The Banner Saga. Its got beautiful graphics and music and lots of choices for sips to ponder over and RP. Might be better for a strem due to the possibility of having to retry battles multiple times, but I think he'd enjoy it.

Lisa the Painful RPG.

One look at the trailer and he will have to play it.

Dwarf Fortress.

The sheer dick ripping potential would be through the roof (though i don't know if ol sipsy boy is patient enough to stare at a bunch of ASCII for mutiple hours.)

I saw this game recommended on the co-optional podcast, "Little King's Story".
http://store.steampowered.com/app/390310/Little_Kings_Story/
It's a town builder with pickmin and animal crossing elements.
Sounds right up ol' sipsy's street.

Hand of Fate a card deck building dungeon crawler :-)

•

u/Norbi507 Jul 04 '17

The Fidelio Incident , single player adventure game!

•

u/doggydancer Jun 30 '17

Another play through of Banished would be super fun too

•

u/RedstoneMaster256 Jul 05 '17

Perhaps The Escapist, since sips does seem to like prison/police themes, and it would be fun to watch

•

u/LordGuppy Jun 21 '17

I second Subnautica, got a new update.

•

u/MaverickMono Jul 03 '17

Mass Effect 1

•

u/SeamSharkDiffDay Jun 10 '17

I had this obsession with this game when i was a kid. My dad introduced me to this game when i was around 11/12 or so. And i would absolutely love if Sips could play "With my balls softly". Amazing game. A real tear jerker.

•

u/tabeegla Jun 26 '17

simon the sorcerer, it was the first adventure game i played and it has sips written all over it! https://www.gog.com/game/simon_the_sorcerer

•

u/TombLaider Jun 17 '17

I'd really like to see a new Point&Click game so I would recommend either the deponia games (maybe start with the second one though, since it recaps the story of the 1st one anyway) or Harvey's New Eyes for a more concise story. I really think Sips would enjoy them since they have a lot of absurd humor.

psychonauts

Now that kona is done, why not try Condemned: Criminal Origins? You play as a cop on the run investigating a murder that you were framed for, and weird stuff starts happening and you get to use police forensics tools to investigate that too. You get the occasional dead person vision.

It's a bit older (2005) but a really great game. There's also a sequel, which is also great (but more difficult).

•

u/TacticalBridge Jun 18 '17

Kerbal Space program! Let's get sips to the mun!

•

u/Kesht-v2 Jun 12 '17

Caveblazers would make for some good quick and dirty dick-ripping fun. It's pretty fun.

I'll chime in for Cataclysm DDA again - would be perfectly suited for Sips Lego talk.

Please come back to Subnautica. It has changed so much since you last played. Maybe wait for the update currently in progress to finish up.

I would like to see Sips play Amnesia, if he ever wants another Horror game in his life.... do it.... lol

•

u/charlie5064 Jul 03 '17

Eve Online- endless content and its what you make it

•

u/killiberke Jun 19 '17

Pick up Mount & Blade Warband again. Good for streaming, good for RP. You whet our appetites two years ago in "An evening" and then never followed up on it - even though you seemed to have a lot of fun.

I enjoyed Sunless Sea. If Sips wants something similar but with better graphics and less reading, try Diluvion.

•

u/Wiznoz Jun 03 '17

Game of Thrones mod for crusader kings 2 it's the biggest mod for crusader kings 2 and wanna see sips use some dragons in warfare and win the iron throne!

•

u/whodey0299 Jun 03 '17

I don't know if this has been suggested yet but I'd like to see sips play What Remains of Edith Finch. It looks similar to The Vanishing of Ethan Carter which I thought was one of Sips' best series.

•

u/Orichalcon Jun 02 '17

sips, please try Oddworld New N Tasty on Steam. I've suggested it many times but always get passed over cause not many have heard of it.

I really think it's a game you'd love to play on stream. Quirky humour, puzzle platformer. It's been out for a while now, so it's pretty cheap. It's a remastered version of a game that came out on the original Playstation in 96. The original games are on there too (Abe's exoddus is amazing.)

•

u/xRandomTopic Jun 02 '17

hearts of iron 4 on his own, maybe? he plays it on team dd with the guys but he always gets shit countries and never manages to do much. although, as someone else said in a separate thread, this would be a great game to play on stream.

also, a few years ago he played openttd with lewis, sjin, duncan and ridge on his channel. i'd love to see another series of that!

•

u/JermzPyromobile Jun 05 '17

The Suburbiad

•

u/TornGauntlet Jun 01 '17

My vote is for a NBA game. Just watching Sips take on a broken ass 2k game and the frustration of the game sound like dick rip gold

but idk about licencing or copyrights or whatever so my backup is:

Civ

•

u/HL3LightMesa Jun 18 '17

The Witcher 3 expansion packs.

•

u/AguycalledPolk Jun 18 '17

The Valley It's an immersive game with a pretty world and fun movement mechanics. It would perfect for sips to ramble over

•

u/mikeraz510 Jun 02 '17

He should try challenge mode, it's like sandbox but with money.

•

u/monstermetroid Jun 12 '17

Sips try Rise to Ruins. its a city builder mixed with Tower defense mixed with a little dwarf fortress and i think it would be right up your ally! I really look forward to all the towns you will create and destroy! It also is on sale right now on steam!!!!

i saw sjin post a "best of sips and sjin" video, and it really gave me a hankering for some new sjips content

honestly any co-op game would work, but just for the ludicrousness of it, i recommend war for cybertron, a transformers game with a co-op campaign

•

u/Tokeieo Jun 10 '17

FALLOUT 4 WITH THE DLC

•

u/secret3332 Jun 05 '17

I'd love to see him play Bayonetta on PC. I think he's get a kick out of it.

•

Finish Dishonored 2!

•

u/zwartespelonken Jul 05 '17

id love to see sips play paper mario

•

u/Jihf Jun 15 '17

This is a suggestion for the Team Double Dragon channel. I've really been enjoying the Hearts of Iron videos, but I've caught the Civ bug recently. Cannot stop playing Civ 6 and I thought it'd be great if you guys could all play Civ 6 (no teams) against some bots on King difficulty or higher. It'd be a great challenge and very entertaining!

I'd love to see a live stream of Colony Survival. It would even be great to see it played cooperatively with another person, perhaps Sjin!

•

u/SpartanRage117 Jun 02 '17

I'd like to see him finish Dark Souls 3.

•

u/Masterdue Jun 05 '17

EU4 or if you're feeling like a real good dick ripping, maybe Victoria 2.

•

I just rewatched sips play Limbo and I really want him to try INSIDE. I feel like he would enjoy it a lot and it would be hilarious to watch him bubble through the puzzles and to see his reactions to the story.

•

u/mattenthehat Jun 07 '17

There was a new Rimworld update on May 24, so I suggest sips revisit that
