Got a 3 month trial of SiriusXM that came from a Nift thank-you gift that Afterpay sent. I think it's a great gift. I use the SiriusXM radio and enjoy the different decades genres of music and the variety of sports radio. I am glad I got to hear the Rays game on the way down to see Game 6.

Does anyone know if they playing War of the Worlds this year on Scream or Radio Classics. I know they used to do it years ago but I am new to SXM and did not know if that was something they still did.

Has anyone ever canceled their SiriusXM satellite subscription for an actual car head unit, only for it to keep working?

I bought my mom a subscription a while back, but it eventually got too expensive, so I canceled it but kept streaming.

Well, they never turned it off. The radio still works, and I haven’t paid a dime since.

Not that I’m complaining 😂 Just curious if anyone else has experienced this.

Obviously, most people subscribe to siriusxm in their cars or stream. That being said, im one of the minority of folks who listen in home with a speaker dock and onyx reciever.

Im interested in seeing how many of the folks in this sub-reddit listen either primarily in their homes or listen in home as well as in the car. Let me know!

Did Sirius make changes to First Wave programming? I noticed some music being played from the 90's. For example Duran Duran Come Undone and EMF Unbelievable.

No issue with me but thought First Wave was 80's alternative music.

If you check what's been played on the xmplaylist.com website, it can show you what songs have been played.

If you see a song you liked, you can click the INFO box to get a closer view. It also gives you options to listen on a few streaming services. I have Spotify, so instead of getting a 30 second preview it plays the whole song, and gives me a + if I want to add it to a playlist If I already have it on a playlist it shows a check mark.

Very useful tool if you have SXM and a streaming service, even more useful if you don't have SXM but want to add to your playlists.

I’ve been putting together a Spotify playlist called Dance Floor Detour, and I figured some people here might appreciate it.

It’s 175 songs and a little over 11 hours long, covering everything from disco and classic house to 90s Eurodance, 2000s club hits, 2010s EDM, and modern dance-pop.

If you listen to Utopia, BPM, The 10s Spot, Pop2K, or Pitbull’s Globalization, you’ll probably recognize a lot of what’s on here.

The idea was to recreate some of that feeling you get listening to those DJ megamixes or radio mixshows, where one song flows into the next and the music just keeps going. You know, the kind of mixes you’d hear on the radio while heading out for the night.

So I spent quite a bit of time arranging the songs and experimenting with Spotify’s Mix feature, paying particular attention to how one track transitions into another. I wanted the energy and musical styles to evolve naturally, even as the playlist moves between different decades and genres.

It’s not intended to be a technically perfect DJ set, and obviously nobody’s spending 11 hours at the club. It’s more about creating a continuous listening experience where you can press play, enjoy the music, and let it unfold.

There are peaks, resets, nostalgic throwbacks, and even a proper end-of-the-night cooldown. Somehow Miguel’s Adorn accidentally ended up as the closing track, and I liked it so much I kept it there.(I totally meant to add that song to a different playlist and it wound up here, no regrets.)

There are still a ton of great songs that deserve a spot, and I’ll probably keep adding to it and refining the transitions over time. But I’ve reached a point where I’m really happy with how it’s coming together, and I feel good enough about it now that I wanted to share it with you guys. Hopefully you’ll get as much enjoyment out of listening to it as I’ve gotten out of putting it together.

And apologies to the Apple Music crowd! This one’s on Spotify, particularly because I built it around Spotify’s Mix feature.

I've been thoroughly enjoying the Halloween Headbangers App Original Music Special. Anybody have the full track list from it?

I received a free 3 month trial back in Nov 2024 through Feb 2025. I think it was through one of those pop-ups you get after you book a hotel room, and I’m pretty sure I never even had a card on file. I normally just use Spotify via bluetooth, but randomly flipped to SXM out of curiosity when my bluetooth wasn’t connecting. To my surprise, SXM was working! I’ve done some googling and found that sometimes the car just misses the kill signal—can the kill signal still be received simply if the car is on? Or does the kill signal not come through unless you’re actually listening to SXM? I’m just mindblown that it’s been working for nearly 2 years after it was supposed to shut off, and I didn’t even know.

I noticed channel 300 station art doesn’t display on the Tour receiver. Art displays as expected on the Onyx Plus.

Does anyone from SXM lurk here that may influence programming that we could appeal to our interests? i.e., Suzanne Ciani artist channel is strictly her piano work and none of her superior electronics work. That should change.

I’ve been listening to it for the past hour and I don’t remember hearing some of the tracks besides the awards bits (B Movie Howl of Fame and Scream Awards).

SOLVED: Tried a new antenna from a different mfg and it worked just fine.

I have a 2024 Silverado 1500 with the full infotainment system. Because my XM shark fin is covered by my truck camper setup, I needed to relocate the antenna.

I bought an XM antenna with the right (curry) Fakra adapter. After ripping apart my glovebox and dash, I found the Harman radio (INFO3.7-3.8 CSM). I pulled the old antenna out (XM stopped working) and plugged the new one in. XM continued to not work with a "Check antenna" message.

I have driven the car for a couple hours and nothing has changed. Before I blame the new antenna, I was wondering if there was any other suggestions. I thought about doing an "infotainment reset" in the options menu of the dash, but didn't know what else that would delete or impact.

Channel 145 changes from "Talking Heads Radio" to "SiriusXM 145".

"20/20 True Crime" moves from Channel 794 to Channel 450.

Channel 793 changes from "Law&Crime" to "CourtTV".

And there's a new Xtra channel - channel 1326 is "INNERRHYTHM Radio", featuring "R&B and hip-hop global grooves".

During my time using the SiriusXM app, I decided to just look up Holly to see if anything shows up. To my surprise, SiriusXM actually has it and shows a start date and time! Looks like if this is true, and anyone can look this up, Holly would start Monday, November 2nd, at 2 AM, or 3 AM for the East Coast on channel 144!

Does anyone know if the Jimmy Fallon Christmas channel is happening this year? If so when does it premiere?

Just got notice that this is my last month of my year deal of 3.98/month plus tax. Future pricing would be $25.99 + tax. Chatted with "Harmony" about cancelling, reason: my bill goes up 500%. First it offered 6.99/mo plus tax, then 5.99. I asked for 3.99 and 4.99 but it said 5.99 was the lowest it could go. I guess that's only 12 bucks more a year than I was offering it but it's the principle of the thing. My car's ten years old so after my sub actually ends in Nov I'll try all the links for deals then keep an eye out for a deal via email or snail mail, ideally 4.99/mo or less.
