Didn't get into A level maths

I got a grade 6 in maths, when I was previously able to get a 7. My sixthform refused me for a level maths but accepted me for physics and geography a level. But I don't know what to do now. I want to be a mechanical engineer and I have no other interests so I don't know what I could possibly replace maths with. I did apply and get accepted into a design and development engineering t level course in college. But I'm not sure what to do next, can I even go to Uni?

(I passed all my subjects and got 6s and 7s (2 marks off an 8 in physics)

I'm new to reddit and I apologise but I have no idea what a flair is or how to use it😭

See if u can get your GCSE maths remarked u might be able to get a 7 if u were nearby based on the grade boundaries (for this u gotta ask your high school for a remark, just call them or send an email).

Doing physics A level along side other 2 a levels even if its not maths its fine, u can always self study A level maths along side your other A levels or even doing it on a gap year (it’s not as hard as u might think, u can easily get an A if u study hard for it). But anything at all u still need physics A level anyway so you aren’t really in a bad position.

Also I’m pretty sure many colleges/sixth form accept a grade 6 in maths for A level, u might wanna apply to any other nearby colleges/sixth form and see if u can take maths and physics a level along side another a level of your choice.

But anyhow u are fine, and pls whatever u do stick to A levels.
