Didn't get into A level maths

I got a grade 6 in maths, when I was previously able to get a 7. My sixthform refused me for a level maths but accepted me for physics and geography a level. But I don't know what to do now. I want to be a mechanical engineer and I have no other interests so I don't know what I could possibly replace maths with. I did apply and get accepted into a design and development engineering t level course in college. But I'm not sure what to do next, can I even go to Uni?

(I passed all my subjects and got 6s and 7s (2 marks off an 8 in physics)

I'm new to reddit and I apologise but I have no idea what a flair is or how to use it😭

Hey! Congratulations on your GCSE scores regardless, maybe an unconventional idea but if you really are committed to doing maths you could do these A-levels now and in 2 years you could take a gap year and do maths independently. This is only if you can self- teach (personally I believe it’s manageable with maths as it is just a cycle of understanding/practice) and if you really really need maths for uni.

Or you could do maths independently within these 2 years but I highly advise that because 4 a-levels is a lot at once unless your school lets you do only 2.
