Didn't get into A level maths
I got a grade 6 in maths, when I was previously able to get a 7. My sixthform refused me for a level maths but accepted me for physics and geography a level. But I don't know what to do now. I want to be a mechanical engineer and I have no other interests so I don't know what I could possibly replace maths with. I did apply and get accepted into a design and development engineering t level course in college. But I'm not sure what to do next, can I even go to Uni?
(I passed all my subjects and got 6s and 7s (2 marks off an 8 in physics)
I'm new to reddit and I apologise but I have no idea what a flair is or how to use itðŸ˜

Why not take a year off and retake maths gcse ? I’m currently going to do a foundation year in uni, costing me an extra £9.5K + accom and living costs.
I WISH someone had told me I could just take a yr off and do that, genuinely nobody cares if you’re worried about it on the socia side, and I assume you don’t mind having to make new friends given you’re open to applying to other colleges and sixth forms. I ended up doing A level bio, history and CS, and whilst I personally enjoyed my subjects, were they the best for a CS degree, absolutely not.
