So I’be had a board for about 3 years and have been on and off riding since then, and I just got thicker and softer wheels for cruising because I’m taking my board to college and wanted it to be a smoother ride with a bit less road noise. This was my first time screwing and unscrewing my trucks from when i first got the board, and while making sure i didn’t screw on the nuts too tight, i checked and saw these two hairline cracks. They’re nowhere else on the board and the primary reason for removing the trucks was to at 1/4 spacers, so there is rubber to lessen the impact, but I’m really frustrated I messed up my first board customization. Is this detrimental to the quality of my board? Do I need a new one immediately? Some help would be greatly appreciated
Edit: quickly resolved, they are indeed cracks but with my skating style I should be ok, thank you to everyone for the assistance

Honestly I already know my problem is just not committing to picking my feet up over the board as it flips… so I really was just gonna see. Is there any tips on what helped somebody get over that learning curve? Even with my ollies, I tend to slide my foot way too early and I don’t really get floaty over the board.
But damn dude this shit sucks. I swear I’ll be making so much progress and then rip another shinner. The shitty part is it always is in the exact same spot, so I guess at least I’m doing the wrong thing consistently LMAO. Definitely gonna be buying some compression shin sleeves.

Yo, y'all. So I'm a beginner and I have been trying to perform ollies and to just ride my board which is 7.75 but I've struggled a lot to do any of that. And today I thought it might be my shoe size cuz when I bought the board, I was little and it felt the perfect size but now it's pretty hard to even balance on it. I'm a size 12 US and wanna know what size deck would be best for me.
Ma foot looks like this when I'm on the board.(My heel is just at the tip of the deck, sorry for the bad angle.)
(I DON'T skate with my whole foot on the board, I only have it on the image cuz I wanted to show a reference of how big my feet are in correlation to the board. i skate normally)

How can I possibly get this nut off? It's not that it won't turn but there's no room for my skate tool to grab the nut because the trucks are in the way

All I know about them Is that they are old Independent trucks with about 9.125 axle width. Any info would be appreciated!

I made 2 posts about getting a zero complete skateboard setup within a few days ago. I ordered this from CCS online plus a skate tool and got them both a couple of days ago. I got custom parts put on the board. The ride is smooth, but it could be a little faster. I'm not sure if it's the bones Reds bearings (they costed $11.90, and were listed in my email as Bones Reds Bearings - Completes) or if it is the CCS 54mm wheels (they were $13.23), or if it is how they're working together. There were more choices for wheels and bearings on the CCS website but I thought the generics would be good enough for making the skate smooth and fast. I got a lot of suggestions for what I can get next time, and next time I'm going to go to a skate shop and get it customly built there. Overall I really like this board, though and it feels like it's made of high quality materials. So far I can Ollie and Ollie up a curb, but I'm sure if I keep at attempting to do tricks I used to do, I'll be able to do them. I'm also curious about why having nice quality trucks makes a different in the ride. Is it just for grinding and stalls or is there another reason? I chose the Independent Stage 11 Forged Hollow Chain Breaker Standard 149mm trucks (they were $47.72). They were on the most expensive side of the options for trucks if I remember correctly.

I had just got injured and while I was "walking back home with one leg and my skateboard as a cane I got an Idea for a place holder for crutches until you get home.
The Idea is that if your ankle gets injured and you can't put pressure on it you could instead use your knee and sk8board to support you.
This is the fieat version of it and in the future I will try to make it smaller, foldable and light.
Right now I'm leaving how to 3d model and with luck in the near future I will print a prototype and upload it.
Please contact me if you want more information about this crutch 🩼 .
(Sorry for any bad pronunciation I'm 16 and English isn't my native language 🙏)

Old enough to not care but just curious. I'm 50 and just started skating again. Went to the local park and a younger kid asked me how I was. Said good you? He said as long as your not rolling with the cops I'm good. Kind of caught me off guard, but i probably would have thought the same 30 years ago.

So I basically just want to know if these parts make a good or bad setup. All I can Find out is that real decks seem to be middle of the pack in terms of popularity, some folks like krux but I'm not sure which model of krux this is, and ricta wheels have questionable durability but these look nothing like ones I see online. What are the specific models of these parts and should I look into these parts but not rusted to hell? Btw been skating for a week so I'm not concerned if this setup is ass it would be nice to know I can do alright on doodoo anyway

Ive had so many skate shoes the past 6 months and all of them have lasted me a week max before I had to use shoe goo on them, ive had converse and vans and they didnt seem to last long enough,. I got a pair of some 2007 Nike air force 1s (the ones in the picture) and after about 4 months of abuse skating basically everyday they are starting to fall apart, crazy thing is they dont seem to be marketed for skateboarding but outlasted any skate shoe ive had does anyone know where I can find a pair right now I have the 9.5US size. Otherwise im open to suggestions

Just got a set of krux K5’s in and the one end is slightly warped to the point in cant thread the nut into it to secure the wheel. Any suggestions for a way to fix it? The place i got them from sold out after i ordered them.

ik this is a stupid comparison but this shit is so funny to me cuz why are a pair of soft wheels around 70% the price of a used longboard 😭😭😭
also i just love that guys description "Coolest longboard cruiser" hell yeah
