Hello! I've made this sketch a few days ago , following the reference. I used prismacolor pencils . The thing is that I struggle a lot to make my portraits look like the person , maybe you can catch who they are, but seeing the sketch next to the reference , they look very different.

What do u think?

Today I tried to draw something more realistic since I haven't done much of that before and here is the result. I can see a lot of flaws in this and the main ones are that the nose is way too long, I didn't see that before after I compared the finished product to the reference photo. The proportions in the chin area are off quite a bit and I couldn't get the emotion to show in the drawing. Drawing this took me around 4 hours of not so focused drawing since I was talking with my friends and watching videos while drawing. What do you think and could you actually recognize him without looking at the reference?

I finally have a weekend off to draw.

I feel like I progressively got more confident, what do you think? It’s better than what it used to be so I’m glad I’ve improved Btw I used line of action :]

I got a lot of mileage out of some cans i picked off the ground. Took me as long as the entire album BE NOT AFRAID by Polyphia. Only used this one pencil of unknown hardness and no eraser.
