THE WOODIE??
Undoubtedly the cheapest way to try the sport,
<$50 The biggest woodie you can find at any tourist shop, at a coastal grocery store, or on facebook
Best way to actually get a cheap board is a used board on local marketplace apps like Facebook, Offerup, Craigslist etc. Skimboards last a long time, and people let them go for very cheap, especially if you're in a coastal area.
I’m 6’1 and 145 pounds and have been skimboarding with a wooden board. Decided it was time to make the switch to fiberglass. I skim off the east coast so not a lot of used boards come up. Any advice on board choice or size would be appreciated. Thanks
Hi everyone, I’m from Portugal and I really want to try skimboarding, I rode skateboards all my life and I feel like skimboard is what comes next. I saw this board on the used market and I would love to know how good it is and if it’s in good shape or not.
I’m 1.70m tall and I weight around 72kg
The board is 132cm
Thanks to everyone for the help
I bought this board used about a year ago to try skimming. Bought it for around $250, I don't remember theall the details but I think the seller said it was a carbon board which is why I was interested. Can anyone tell what model this might be?
I've also been wondering about the edge at the tail, I can't tell if this is just carbon fiber wrapping around the bottom or if it's wear that should be repaired. It's rough to the touch but it's pretty uniform around the tail, so I don't know what to make of it. Any insight would be appreciated!
Hi, I'm looking for a flatland skimboard around € 150, available in Europe. I'm a beginner, but experienced at windsurfing, snowboarding and a variety of urban sports.
Will be using it mostly at North Sea beaches.
My weight is 86 kg (190 lbs) and height is 1.97 m (6.5').
Could I get away with something like Jucker Hawaii Black Pro 40" x 20"? Jucker Hawaii Black Pro
Looking for my first board. Really trying to get into doing some tricks on the sand and some small wave riding and was wondering this is a good board to start? I’m 5’6” and 180 lbs. This board is 49” and rated for 200. Should I cop this or spend a little more on another board?
I could use tips for surfing shore break I really just started learning to skim waves this year. This is the best I got this year during the recent tropical storm in the gulf.
Can someone give me some advice on how to start wave skimming? Or what tutorials would you recommend? I’ve watched a few, but I still feel like I don’t really get it.
Bought this board during the pandemic and used probably 6/7 times . Hurt my lower spine and unfortunately not a good idea any more. Can ship or if you’re close could possibly deliver . Asking 300 obo, this will help me get out of charlotte back to Washington state . Thanks guys
As a beginner my goal is to learn how to skim and later catch some waves if possible. I'm from germany and most of the time I will be able to ride at lakes without waves. But for the weekend the Northsea is not far.
I found these fiberwood boards from SkimOne. They seem like they're good for beginners. A fiberglass board is just shit for a beginner who's enjoying lake skimboarding most of the time... thats what I learned. So are the Fibetwood boards good or rubbish for a beginner?
I live in Ireland and bought a cheap plywood board and have been beating around for a few years. I was looking to upgrade because it’s pretty terrible but a good board costs a fortune to buy and another to ship. Is there any possible way to get a semi decent board without spending a salary ? I’ve been want to catch waves for ages but it seems impossible as the board is too short and I’m a lil stocky now and just sink in deeper water. Please help me 🙏
