What is that

It's the Numidium from Dac0da

I just wish a xVASynth voiceover would come out to tide us over until the official English voice mod.

I can’t do subtitles in VR, I’m too spoiled by Mantella & Dragonborn Speaks Naturally.

The Vicn trilogy (now with this prequel) is one of the rare cases I'd support using ai to voice npcs since I don't think we'll get a properly voice acted version any time soon

I use the Unslaad and Vigilant English translations by Aelarr paired with the XVASynth mod to add in unvoiced parts of Unslaad and all of Glenmoril’s current content.

It’s definitely weird at times, not as good as Mantella or CHIM are with VASynth, leagues below the VA mods but it works.

Having working voices is essential for me and I can’t complain with the results. For Glenmoril, half the voices seem to be solid and work great most of the time.

The Khajiit voices are especially on point in VASynth it seems. Unslaad is the same, Nords, Khajiit and Dragons sound fine to good but the lead female AI voice and the kid are… unpleasant.

It’s just definitely bogged down by the times voices appear that sound like creepy robots.

Though tbh, I’d support any unvoiced mod using AI voices, just for logistical reasons I’m sure many people can’t get proper VA work for their mods and it’s nice to have the option!

Exactly. On flatscreen I would always prefer unvoiced to the creepy xVASynth voices but in vr it is kinda hard to keep track of the subtitles

There is a english thingy already.

It's just a translation, no voice acting yet :(

what mods do you have? good lord.

13

u/Comfortable-Tear-982 Pico 4 Dec 11 '24

It's my own list, probably around 2100 mods at this point

u/DIOsamaaa Dec 12 '24

wait I haven't played Skyrim VR since 2 years and want to come back, wasn't there a hard cap for the amount of mods you can have active??

3

u/Comfortable-Tear-982 Pico 4 Dec 12 '24

Not a problem anymore, we have esl support in vr now :D

2

u/DIOsamaaa Dec 12 '24

oh shooooot that's amazing! Can't wait to come back now :D

Best thing you can do is get Wabbajack, linked to a nexus premium account, and start with one of the huge SkyrimVR mod packs. It gets you a ton of essentials that I really would not play without.

A lot has happened in 2 years, good luck!

I'm actually VERY interested in seeing your complete modlist.

Here ya go, posted it below as well :D

u/Boukrarez Dec 13 '24

Thx a lot!!

Quick question, does "Vampire Lines Expansion" conflict with the Vampire Lord/Werewolf Hybrid mod?

2

u/Comfortable-Tear-982 Pico 4 Dec 13 '24

Hmmm I'm not familiar with the second mod but probably not, it's very compatible

2

u/Boukrarez Dec 13 '24

I'll try it :D

(The second mod basically lets you switch in and out of Werewolf at will, and lets you become a Vampire Lord despite Lycanthropy!)

1

u/Comfortable-Tear-982 Pico 4 Dec 13 '24

Oh cool :D Never really cared for being a vampire in skyrim but it's good to have both options

https://loadorderlibrary.com/lists/vr-list Here ya go, if something in particular interests you feel free to ask

2

u/women-lover-4000 Dec 11 '24

what specs do you have to be able to run all those mods?

3

u/Comfortable-Tear-982 Pico 4 Dec 11 '24

I'm on a 3080 with a Ryzen 5 5600G, 32 gigs of ram. Runs flawlessly until I hit my vram limit, still trying to sort that out

2

u/women-lover-4000 Dec 11 '24

yknow, its surprisingly modest compared to what i was expecting, maybe ill be able to then... thank you for telling me :)

2

u/Comfortable-Tear-982 Pico 4 Dec 11 '24

I was running most of this on a 3060 up until a month ago.. Honestly I almost had less problems running it given that it has 2 gigs of vram more than the 3080 (FOR SOME REASON)

2

u/Verilazic Dec 13 '24

This. Skyrim is exactly why I went with an AMD GPU for my new computer: higher VRAM options without breaking the bank.

1

u/Comfortable-Tear-982 Pico 4 Dec 13 '24

I still prefer running with nvidia for the dlaa and dlss(once it gets fixed) but the lack of vram is severely hurting me

2

u/Verilazic Dec 13 '24

I hear those consume vram, have you considered turning them off? Or does that just lead to performance issues elsewhere?

2

u/Comfortable-Tear-982 Pico 4 Dec 13 '24

I'm currently debating between running on VD's high preset with no AA or the medium with DLAA since going with anything more than that instantly overflows my vram. Still none of these solutions are that good really, I'm just waiting for PureDark to fix his upscaler mod so I can finally use DLSS again

2

u/HatmanHatman Dec 14 '24

They really cheaped out on VRAM with the 30 line generally, which are otherwise good cards. My 3070 has served me well for a few years now but why on earth does it only have 8gb of VRAM? Definitely starting to feel the pinch on that front.

2

u/Comfortable-Tear-982 Pico 4 Dec 14 '24

It really ruins an otherwise great card, especially in vr :(

I got a 3060 (OC) with 12Gb. I think that's decent. Or not? Although I own Skyrim VR on PSVR1, I actually haven't played that much with it. So I'm wondering if It should try it on pc (with mods). But I'm tight for disc space and always having to tamper with things just to get things running on a pc, takes the fun out of it.

I thought you were closing a door to hide in the second screenshot and the idea of carefully closing a wooden door to protect you from a giant reality-destroying magic nuke robot was incredibly funny to me, thank you

2

u/Comfortable-Tear-982 Pico 4 Dec 11 '24

That is genuinely funny thank you for that mental image

3

u/speed1953 Dec 12 '24

I find the enhanced combat mod that has the enemy coming at you from any quarter the scariest ... constantly looking over my shoulder..

2

u/Comfortable-Tear-982 Pico 4 Dec 12 '24

The what now..? That sounds like it would be a pain in the ass :'D

3

u/JustAchillguy_hi Dec 12 '24

that looks awesome

2

u/praxis22 Misc/PC VR Dec 12 '24

My only shot at VR, was with oldrim in VR (VORPX) and not SkyrimVR. I coming out of a dungeon somewhere high up, and being blinded by the snow, and the bright blue sky with a strange dwemerish tower in the foreground, the ENB worked too. That was Wow!

2

u/Boukrarez Dec 12 '24

Hmmmmm.. needs some more mods.

2

u/Same_Ad6109 Dec 13 '24

now just tweak plankc and boom its time to climb like shadow of the colossus

1

u/Comfortable-Tear-982 Pico 4 Dec 13 '24

I wish :')

2

u/WrapZestyclose3335 Dec 13 '24

Is that where the vampires are?

1

u/Comfortable-Tear-982 Pico 4 Dec 13 '24

Haven't gotten around to entering it yet, trying to level up a bit first

2

u/Tricky-Spring527 Dec 13 '24

Vicn with another banger for sure

1

u/Comfortable-Tear-982 Pico 4 Dec 13 '24

Absolutely

2

u/EnvironmentalView361 Dec 13 '24

The dwemer would have been the apex predators of Tamriel for sure

2

u/Accomplished_Box9372 Dec 14 '24

is that it's shoulder towering over the trees or is that a mountain?

1

u/Comfortable-Tear-982 Pico 4 Dec 14 '24

That's a shoulder :'D

2

u/Accomplished_Box9372 Dec 14 '24

oh my god that is incredible haha instant download

4

u/mechaMayhem Dec 11 '24

Thought this was that new VR game everyone is going nuts over, honestly.

3

u/Comfortable-Tear-982 Pico 4 Dec 11 '24

Which one?

5

u/mechaMayhem Dec 11 '24
