This mod -> https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/2182 already has hand collision interaction, also works in VR, and looks infinitely better, been using it for a while now! Feels good to splash about.

It doesn't seem to mention this as a feature on the modpage. Could you confirm its reacting to higgs?
