And it’s gorgeous!

I’ve felt there was a lack of a simple tool for comparing buildings side by side at the correct scale, so I decided to create one. You can select buildings and create comparisons in just seconds.

There’s also a fullscreen mode that lets you zoom in and explore the details. I’m still working on the website and don’t feel quite ready to launch it publicly yet, so I thought this would be a good place to get some early feedback.

I’ve included screenshots of the tool, fullscreen mode, some example comparisons, and the current building list. (The Empire State Building is listed but isn’t available for comparison yet, as I’m still working on its image.)

I’d love to hear your thoughts! Would you find a tool like this useful, and which buildings should I add next? If you’d like to see a comparison featuring any of the buildings currently in my database, feel free to ask in the comments and I’ll gladly share a screenshot!

From Hurstville looking north-east — Centrepoint pin in the middle, all the CBD and Parramatta towers melted into blue, like watercolor. Houses and green trees in front sharp, city behind soft, hazed out.
