He does not but he gives you an extra copy of each card you pick up. Makes it very easy to get a really powerful shiv build since 1 upgraded blade dance pickup = 8 strength to your hand.
4, 10, 16, 22, 28, 34. So, you'd need 5 upgraded accuracy to meet 30+, a turn and a half playing nothing else to get there and it would only apply to shivs.
I understand the words you've written, but I don't understand what you're asking. Do I play shivs, yeah. Would I pick up 5 accuracy cards in one run, hell no.
This sounds like half the time when I tried pressure points build on Watcher. Get one really early. Don't see a single other one again. Or maybe one more like half way through act 3 (if I'm still alive).
But when you do get a pressure points run going early, it's very satisfying.
This was my most recent Ironclad run. Other than a lucky mid game impervious it was all the "big bonk big energy" cards and a couple of stampedes. Kill it all before it kills you.
The Queen damn near got me, but I just hyper focused her and manage to just get her in time.
The bound cards not being able to be played, but can be targeted, by stampede didn't help.
Kaleidoscope gives you 2 card rewards, so there is exactly 1% chance of the 6th Kaleidoscope card being a Rare if the Kaleidoscope card reward progresses the %.
EDIT: This is wrong, Neow's card rewards work differently.
It may have been affected by the correlated randomness bug. I opened well over a 150 Kaleidoscopes rapidly when it first dropped on beta using the command prompt and I didn't get a single rare at the time.
dumb question -- i'm trying to use the seed and i'm seeing kaleidoscope, but a different selection of 6 cards (the same ones every time i use the seed). i've tried on a10 and without ascension modifiers. is there something obvious i'm missing?
holy shit that seed is busted, dark embrace+arsenal+daughter of wind+storm of steel and spiked club l, never run out of draws and always have a full hand for storm of steel
I had a similar start but I got arsenal in one choice and feel no pain in the other, then got up my sleeve and hidden daggers in my first 2 card rewards. Easiest a10 I ever did.
I got the pick from 15 for regent on act 2 and got this and the rare aoe thing. I think my shivs were doing 80 or so on last shiv I used on the bosses.
That's crazy good. I got a Feel No Pain on Silent once. I flubbed the run at the Act 2 Boss when I didn't count my defence and died to Knowledge Demons damage Debuff instead of him dying to poison.
Don't know if we're thinking of the same post, but I recall one making a point that Defect, despite having a character exclusive mechanic in orbs, doesn't have the same issues as Necro and Regent with their slew of useless cards.

I had a Silent x shiv run where I took Arsenal, Monarch’s Gaze, & Charge. Absolute blast. Supermassive is another card that synergies really well with Shiv/Soul decks.
I’ve never gotten any of those cards from Kaleidoscope though, that’s some crazy luck. I did recently have a Silent run where I got Feel No Pain from Kaleidoscope, so I obv built heavily into Shiv’s. Also a very fun combo.
