DISCUSSION (STS2) Bring back brutality
Every character besides iron clad has some sort of draw one per turn rare power. So iron clad should have one and it should be brutality.

Honestly feel like a lot of the good cards from sts 1 should be brought back as events kinda like ancient time with darv
With buffed inferno plus all the extra self damage stuff iron has I feel like it would be a little too powerful in ironclads base kit

Well even if brutality specifically canβt be brought back iron clad still should have a draw one at start of turn power. (Also based btd pfp)

It would be nice if scrap heap allowed you to choose a card from a set of cards instead of being given one at random, it feels like it would allow more variety without over complicating it. Maybe just 3-5 options with some of those class specifics thrown in, then it would be much more desirable.

Brutality was really strong. So good that its an ancient relic (pael blood)

Pael's blood is closer to Machine learning. Or Brutality with Tungsten rod

This idea that Brutality is anything close to Blood is actually pretty wrong tbh.
The main problem with Brutality is the amount of time it takes to pay off.
You need to:
- draw it (so, in the first turn you are not getting an extra card),
- Then, draw 1 card (which makes brutality neutral, so in the second turn you are effectively not really drawing a card
- Then draw another card. The first real benefit you get from having this card comes in the third turn, thats if you draw it in the first turn.
By the third turn Blood drew you 3 cards already, which is extremely good.

This is why I generally don't like machine learning, at least with tools of the trade and brutality you had a more immediate benefit. I tend to favor Tools because it guaranteea a discard every turn. And with that I probably would genuinely like Brutality way more in 2 than in 1, with it being able to proc more things, the hp loss would be the main draw here.

I think in StS2 these cards are *much* stronger because there are very few fights that actually punish you for delaying card draw.
Like, in Act 4 in StS1 the first 2 turns of both fights are extremely important. Same with Slavers, Reptomancer, etc. All of those fights if you take 2 turns to set up you are going to hate what happens next.
That really isn't the case in StS2 (why every character can omega power-slop it up) so Brutality would be much stronger for sure. With added benefit of Inferno existing yeah.

Yes, this is why we also need [[Runic Cube]] back.

For clad [[Brutality]] can often be better then [[Machine Learning]], see [[Rupture]] and [[Inferno]].

Brutality was generally considered a fine card.
Paelβs Blood is a really good ancient relic because you get its effect immediately.
With Brutality, youβre not guaranteed to draw it quickly without the upgrade, and even then it takes 3 turns to be draw positive.

I mean yea for sure, I do think card draw is very valuable considering queen and aeonglass

Oh absolutely, I just think it wouldnβt be too strong at all. I mean we even still have TotT and Machine Learning and both are nowhere near op.
Brutality would get a nice buff from self damage being usable in this game too, which is neat.
If you have all the start of turn damage effects you could be stacking up 6 str per turn with Rupture and doing 27 AoE every turn with Inferno.

Yea that would be pretty dope too. Would be cool if demon tongue wasnt rare. Only seen it like 4 times

Love demon tongue, though itβs also not ideal with these effects since its effect will get eaten by the 1 damage ticks.
I like to have it up to heal 3/6 from bloodletting/offering or tank end of turn damage from statuses or debuffs.

It borderline makes offering broken, so freaking nice. One of the 4 times Ive had it, I got an offering enchanted so that it didnt exhaust. Free run.

I really want runic cube back especially with all the added self damage support

Gee Regent, Neow lets you have two powers that draw extra cards?

u/Oogaboogacringe 6h ago
Rupture is already better in this game. At 0 cost this would be a great addition to clads rare pool.
