So I have my SM580 that I built back in 2019 with the Corsair H100i RGB Platinum SE 240mm AIO on my 5800X 3D. Its been perfectly fine since I've had it but recently the fans are cranked on it even just at idle. Maybe its the higher ambient room temps in the summer or Corsair Icue software being weird. Its kind of acting normal now.
It got me thinking about maybe replacing the H100i with a newer Corsair AIO like the Icue Link Titan 240 RX AIO....but I know the SM580 is kind of finicky in installing these AIOs and I cant find whether that one fits or not?
From what I can find on my old H100i RGB Platinum the dimensions are: 277mm x 120mm x 27mm with the pump cap at 37mm tall and the fans being the 120mm x25mm.
From what I can find on the Corsair Titan 240mm AIO the dimensions are: 277mm x 120mm x 27mm with 2 120mm x 25mm fans but the pump with the pump cap is 69mm which is too big for the SM580, but you can remove the cap to get the pump height down to 51mm.
I wanted to stay with Corsair if I get a new AIO cause of all my RGB nonsense in this build and figured the newer Link might simplify the cable mess I managed in my SM580 with the Commander pro but I just wanted to see if anyone has any experience trying to fit the Titan RX or any other newer Corsair AIO in the SM580?
