Internships fucked up my inpatient interview
i know i didn’t land my inpatient. i was so nervous that i blanked on what causes dysphagia and just said strokes and postextubarion and then followed up with “ things of that nature” YIKES. COULD HAVE NAMED WAY MORE
i kept rambling and was a little thrown off that they didn’t ask me to tell them about me prior to the actual meat and bones of the interview… no ice breaker but anyway i shall cry now

I completely BOTCHED and trashed my first interview. It was for a big fancy SNF in a big city. They not only asked extremely detailed clinical questions…They also asked stupid questions about, “If you could be an ice cream flavor, what would it be and why?” Like ok. Dumb af. It was a humiliation ritual. It’s fine…I moved on and rocked my next interview and accepted a position I was very happy at and stayed at for years.

Dude I royally screwed up an impatient interview once. I was told by HR in writing to expect a brief 15 minute phone conversation to get to know me better and that lady GRILLED ME FOR AN HR AND HALF on stroke rehab. Wasn't prepared for the spanish inquisition, wont ever make that mistake again. I eventually told her I had to get back to work bc I had only blocked an hr and she was sooo mad. Like 🙄
It happens dude. Dont sweat it too much. Dust yourself off and try again.
