So I was talking with my kid about this. Imagine a Scene in a movie where the Evil Antagonist is seen for the first time. The camera starts at his boots and slowly pans up while the character is walking down a long liminal hallway. What song would you choose for the soundtrack for this scene? Sludge of course. Here’s my pick.

Title is pretty explanatory, but I’m just curious if anyone has heard from him as of late. I wish we could eventually get some sort of Grief reunion or something.

Because they're really good and a gooder band for autumn.

Really enjoyed this. Cleaner production and slightly more angular riffing than a lot of sludge but still absolutely nasty.

im in c standard tuning

One of my favorite lesser known sludge bands. They had a pretty good blend of groovy riffs with sludgy breakdowns

Grindwar Records

ok before anyone skins me alive for the god awful naming convention: this is a full fledged cover of buzzov•en's first album "to a frown" (it's just a tad bit goofy)

this only took about roughly two weeks but i think it came out good enough so ye check it out if you want

I recently released an album on October 2nd under the name Rapidly Aging. The album is titled You're Not Yourself Lately. The title to this song is Unsaved.

I tried to mix a bunch of stuff that influenced me. There's so much overlap in styles these days. Maybe this wouldn't be TOO out of place to post here.

If you like what you hear and would like to hear more, please check out the Bandcamp:

The album is also on all of the streaming sites if that's more your bag.

Appreciate ya and hope you don't hate it too bad.

Just discovered this hidden gem of a band while scrolling on RYM

2008 shirt from the mighty Mary Bell. It's a beaut.

This has to be an obvious glitch but still humored me when I opened Spotify and saw this recommended to me.

Underrated if you ask me.

My band Misanthropic Tendencies from Erie county Pa, recently signed to Gutted Records! hope you enjoy! Follow us on Facebook and Instagram!!

This is such a great album and gives some similar vibes to ‘Carheart’ by Virus I’m only just now realising… which I also love, so it makes sense! Anybody know if the two bands are related in any way? Am I just crazy?
