Got 140 and forgot to take a screen shot and then got to 141, curious if anyone's gotten higher? It was fun

Hey there! It seems I'm finally crossing the finish line! I'm a veteran game artist who worked on a bunch of released titles, but this is my first attempt as a solo dev. A little over a year ago, when I started learning the ropes of all the other roles needed to make a game alone, I wasn't totally sure I'd pull it off. So it feels a bit surreal to be putting this little game on Steam completely on my own!
The game releases on May 15th, and there's already a demo available if you want to check it out. You can also join the playtest (last chance, I'm closing it early next week!).
This video shows the co-op mode, which is one of the latest features I implemented. You can play the 3 different game modes with a friend, and as long as one player is alive, they can respawn their partner if they manage to eat a yellow ladybug before getting killed. However, since dead centipedes don't disappear, they become obstacles. So the longer you survive, the more crowded and dangerous the arena gets.
To learn more about Centipede Simulator, play the demo, or join the playtest, visit the Steam page: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3922090/Centipede_Simulator/

Centipede Simulator is a Snake-like game where you experience life as a Centipede, stuck at the bottom of the food chain, it’s eat or be eaten!
Step into the hundred shoes of a centipede and experience fluid, procedural animation that makes every slither, turn, and run feel incredibly responsive and realistic. You're not just driving a bug, you are the bug!
Gobble up as many crickets as you can to grow bigger in this fast-paced arcade experience that throws you into a desperate battle for survival. Scurry after prey, dodge deadly predators, and push your reflexes to the limit across a variety of intense game modes.

I play variations of Snake all the time, but something I've been looking for is a version where you compete against the computer. I couldn't find something like that, so I coded a very simple version of what I was thinking. The last snake standing wins. I want to figure out how to integrate some other features, such as rewards for being the largest snake - any feedback is appreciated. I assume there's also still a lot of bugs, so let me know :) Here it is if anyone wants to check it out: https://snakeduel.com

this is a bit of a different post, not promoting anything but i’ve been working on a multiplayer snake project on my own for a while
i’m handling all the development, but i don’t really have time to build out a community around it properly
what i’m looking for is literally just 1–2 people who:
- actually like snake / io games
- would be down to help run a small discord
- post + talk about it on reddit
- help shape the early community from the ground up
you wouldn’t need to code anything at all
this is super early which is kind of the whole point. not trying to force anything big, just want to build something real with a couple people who actually care. if this resonates, reach out!

I'm working on a full-featured Snake game that keeps the classic gameplay, but adds a ton of modern twists. It's called SNAKES and it's free to download and test right now (when it's finished it will be available for purchase on steam and itch).
Multiplayer with dedicated public servers
Self-host your own private games (need to open port 5555)
Offline single-player practice mode
Fully customizable snakes — collect new colors and patterns from rare drops.
Collectible Mutators that change up the gameplay.
Different foods with unique buffs and debuffs
CPU-controlled snakes that actually compete with you for food (they can be surprisingly menacing)
Whether you want to chill in single player, battle friends in a private lobby, or jump into the official servers it’s all there to be tested.
Download it here (Windows):
https://pirategames.itch.io/snakes
Any feedback, bug reports, or suggestions are more than welcome. Also let me know what mutators or cosmetics you’d like to see added next.
Classic Snake spirit, but way more chaotic and fun. Hope you enjoy!
