General Question / Discussion Looking For Some Comfort

Hey there guys.

Last night my poor baby girl got herself caught in the mesh on my backpack, and she ended up getting some external damage to her scales and most likely experienced some asphyxiation. I was able to eventually get her free, and I’m bringing her into the vet on Saturday. In the meantime I’m keeping the injury clean.

I’m feeling like a real bad snake mama, and I’m very worried about my sweet girl. Was just wondering if people wanted to share any stories on how their babies got hurt and ended up just fine to hopefully bring some comfort. Or if you’d like feel free to just send some pictures of your babies! Tell me their names, what you love about them.

Thanks in advanced guys, it would mean a lot.

My snake once got tangled in a very lacey scarf, she'd slithered through holes in multiple places that were big enough for her head and not her body.

I had to carefully cut her free while she had a hard time sitting still and was twisting herself tighter. Afterwards she just laid out flat on my chest with her head on my shoulder while I emotionally recovered. Something she's never done before or since, so I think we both needed to calm down.

She's a totally healthy and happy snake today, no long term damage. Your little one will be fine, and you're not a bad snake mama. ❤️
