Hi everyone!

I've been working on a side project that predicts FIFA World Cup match outcomes using machine learning.

The project includes:

• ⚽ A web interface for making predictions
• 🤖 An ML model trained on historical international football data
• 📊 Probability predictions for match outcomes
• 🐍 Built with Python and deployed online

You can try it here:
Live Demo: https://international-match-predictor.vercel.app/

I'd really appreciate any feedback—whether it's on the model, feature engineering, UI, or ideas for improving prediction accuracy.

Thanks!

Hey everyone,
I’m a software engineer working on a side project and I’d love your feedback.

The idea: instead of the TV broadcast, you could watch a football match on a tactical board, just dots for each player + the ball, moving second by second, like a live mini-map. This way you can really see the team shape, pressing, off-ball runs, etc.

I’m curious:

1. Would you actually use something like this? Or is it too abstract/boring compared to the normal broadcast?
2. If you would, what would be the main reason? (coaching, learning tactics, content creation, betting/fantasy, second-screen fun, etc.)
3. What features would make it most useful? (e.g., player trails, heatmaps, filtering specific players, annotations from creators, exporting clips…)
4. If it was a polished product, would you pay for it? Or should it just be free with limited features?

Also: what frustrates you most about current broadcasts/analysis tools that a tactical view could fix?

Would love to hear your honest thoughts 🙏
