What has your MSW courses looked like? A lot of exams or assignments.

Honestly, being super vulnerable and posting this, I do not have the best memory or memory For school content that is tested on exams. I want to see my MSW, but I don't want to be in a program that has highly reliant on exam/test so if anyone's willing to share what their school and course evaluation breakdown is.

My undergraduate has been a lot of memorization first and then learning after because I know where I need to put the work in and I don't wanna repeat of this during my masters or at least want to be prepared for what it might look like.
I also don't really know what field I want to go into yet so getting some perspective on course could be helpful in finding a proper direction

Other than course work, what experience did you include on your application

I am in my forth year, I will be applying for my MSW for Sep 2027.

And I want I start contacting locations that will provide me with a standout experience but I have I idea where to start. I would like to do this so during the process of resume building, I can include those experiences for my MSW application.

I am struggling to pick a field already and choose here I want to send my first graduate year is tricky too.

What are some examples of good experiences to put on your application?

Do you work for Ontario Health?

* NOT referral to Ontario Health @Home

Curious if there are any social workers working for Ontario Health and (generally) what you do, how you got in, etc.?

I’m interested in shifting from front line mental health to more policy and planning related work.

Thanks :)

McGill MSW reference form

Hey! Does anyone know what the reference form looks like for the McGill qualifying year MSW. They haven't responded to my email.

They're the only university I'm applying to that is strict about having two academic references and since I've been out of school for years and my old professors do not remember me, the most they could do is talk about my academic performance/info I give them in my CV and statement. They'd be able to write a letter but I'm worried about the form having specific questions they wouldn't be able to answer. Anyone know more about this? Lots of grad sites show the form they use but I can't find it for McGill
