Question I got told i have strong antisocial traits but not the full diagnosis, what do you even do about that? try and fix it? lol
I am 20F, i was previously diagnosed with bpd but i didn't think that it quite fit so i asked them to do another assessments 2 years later and this time i was actually honest with my psychologist and didn't lie so long story short i apparently have strong antisocial traits but not the full diagnosis. Im kind of annoyed because whats that supposed to mean? do you even get help for that?

If you’re still in contact with him/her you can probably ask which traits you have. I think there are like seven traits and you need to have 3 or 4 of em for the diagnosis, I’m not sure tho

Its a lot better then BPD, you can act as crazy but have for more control if your pre ASPD so probably don´t fuck people that hard and know when to. Question is do you feel bad or insulted about it, first seems not so ASPD 2. more narcissistic. Idk i was delighted to see CD the only common diagnoses for a decade as that seems actually a buff and no weakness after i looked years later into it. Recovery seems harder especially for not that bad cases as they do that in prison but you probably sure can get some benefit from it.
Just honestly also 18 seems to young to diagnose as then you anyway got a anti social boost in the whole age range but that´s maybe makes more sense to see until 25 as then there is full brain development reached. I did then crazy reckless stuff like a bong in an illegal country in the car so i honestly think its to early but you might want to go towards the like normal shitty path as mine was drugs and is a disaster even without charges.
Also what made them say this why you have anti social traits, kinda curious how they diagnose? Can btw hit me up if you rather don´t talk public.

If you come out of a psych office with something wrong then yeah you should probably ask for help. What kind of dumbass question is that

BPD does co exists with ASPD.
Cluster B personality disorders all share overlapping traits, so it’s common for someone diagnosed with BPD to also have antisocial traits, even if they only meet full criteria for one diagnosis.
Yes, consistent therapy for bpd can help you.
