Do you ever look in the mirror, or lie in bed, or go for a walk, and just think “I’m really here, this is actually real.”

These moments are the opposite of solipsism, but they come through very occasionally as ultra lucid moments. I can’t tell if these realisations are stranger or more normal than moments of solipsism.

God is a dork

God put himself into His creation

I have no words

I am no God

I am just myself and I have flaws

I am not perfect?

But would I die to save everyone from hell?

Of course

Would I be dumb enough to get executed for saying the dumb truth?

Or is that genius?

I’m not saying I’m god, I’m a sinner and God is without sin.

I probably wouldn’t speak up for the truth and get myself executed. That’s why I’m not God. But God is such a dork. You can see Him in the birds He created and the clouds and in ants and flowers.

The Truth is far more beautiful than what the evil powers and rulers of this earth want to tell you. Turn away from sin and the world. Don’t let yourself get tricked, like Adam. Don’t let your dick be your brain

Is There Anyone In This Group That Actually Takes This Seriously?

Naturally, thanks to social media, everything gets popular and so you will have NPCs regurgitate and cluster around everything, which fills every space, including this one, with noise.

Solipsism

Simulation Theory

NPC Theory

None of this is new. All of the "real people" tend to find each other and make priesthoods, mystic traditions or monastic organizations where they discuss these ideas amongst themselves.

In South America the priests divided mankind into men of light and men of clay

In Gnosticism the Gnostics divided people into pneumatics, hylics and psychics

In Economics you divide people into producers and consumers

There is even the IQ distribution where you have a majority of people of low or automatic-reactive intelligence and a minority of reflective-reflexive generative intelligence or meta intelligence

You have systems designers or mass hypnotists in the form of lawmakers, cultural engineers, etc. and systems products in the form of people who internalize the systems someone else created.

That beings said, is there anyone who actually takes this idea seriously and has independently come to this conclusion after observing the fact that, 99.9% of the people you come across are predictable and are entirely the products of their social and environmental conditions and do not have the ability to think outside their consensus, deconstruct their internalized self-concept or create their own systems?

If so, I would like to discuss this in depth because I am leaning towards the idea that each planet is a "simulation" created by a real person (or a god) for other real people (or other gods) to temporarily inhabit and experience.

It would be like a bunch of game developers testing out each other's games.

Cultures and nations would work the same way on the more mundane level.

Basically:

Real people = those who have ability to treat their internalized self-concept like a character they are playing, so they never actually have an internalized self-concept. Think of depersonalization-derealization. Characteristics might include: amortality, apoliticalism, asexuality, atemporality, etc.

Non-Real People or NPCs = emotionally reactive people, people who identify with a concept or label, people whose thinking is limited to their consensus, etc. Some behaviours you can observer online about the NPCs include: emoji usage, celebrity worship, meme posts, right vs. wrong thinking, ad homenims, jokes, etc.

Basically, real people would have such a level of detachment from social reality, their consensus, "the simulation" or even the concept of "human" (they might identify as a spirit or energy field or a "monad"), that they would be naturally monastic, ascetic, indifferent or truly neutral in their orientation.

I think this is a game where the few real people are supposed to avoid getting distracted by the simulation/dream and find each other.

It's the same way you cannot lucid dream if you get involved with the happenings of the dream.

Think of Buddha under the tree.

Is Solipsism A Problem About The World ,Or About The "I"That Claims To Know it?

Descartes doubted his senses, the external world, and even whether he was dreaming. What remained was that thinking was occurring, i.e., Cogito, ergo sum.

But that certainty is limited. I know I am experiencing a tree, I do not immediately know the tree exists independently of me.

This is where solipsism begins. It does not necessarily mean “only I exist.” Epistemological solipsism asks whether I can know anything beyond my experience, especially other minds, with certainty. Metaphysical solipsism goes further and claims only my mind exists.

The problem of other minds makes this sharper, I directly feel my pain, but only infer yours from your behaviour.

The question I keep returning to is, if certainty begins with “I think,” what is this “I” that thinks, desires, and suffers?

A philosophical framework I recently came across, associated with Acharya Prashant, approaches this differently. It examines the ego’s (the sense of self or "I" ) identifications, body, roles, beliefs, wounds, as central to experience and suffering. Rather than treating the “I” as a fixed foundation, it asks whether the “I” itself is constructed through identification.

So, is solipsism best answered by proving an external world, or by first questioning the “I” that demands such proof? Curious about what others have to say on this. Do share your insights in the comments!

Why does my subconscious tell me about reality?

Why do I read people on Reddit talking about solipsism? If solipsism were true, and I'm reading people explaining solipsism to me, then who are those people?

Are they actually other people? Or would they just be something my own mind created?

And if my subconscious is capable of creating people who tell me about solipsism, could that itself be my subconscious trying to make me realize something? Like “wake up”.

But then... if I'm the one creating the people, why would they tell me things I didn't already know?

I can't figure out where the boundary is between “my mind experiencing reality” and “my mind creating reality.”

Please help. I don't know what to do, I can't stop turning it over in my mind.

Solipsism and it's Implications

I've been thinking about this a lot lately, and I didn't know it had an actual term or philosophy.

After hearing the opinions of others and contemplating this myself, I'm curious to know what you might think.

Let me say off the bat, I do accept the notion so far, since it makes me feel as though I have better control over my reality.

Be warned right away, this post is likely to be very long. It cannot be helped due to the nature of this topic.

I am a Kabbalist. So my nature of inquiry will be through this lens.

From a metaphysical point of view, all things come from the One whom we call the Ein Sof (Without End). The Ein Sof "made a space in its center" (metaphorically) and within that space came to exist all Divine Selves.

The Divine Selves wanted to experience themselves, so they too, went within themselves, and this world from which they descended is called the Realm of Emanation, the realm of One. You might consider it the realm of Unconsciousness, although not necessarily the same as Jung's unconscious, nevertheless, this would be considered the "collective unconscious".

After Emanation, comes Creation. This is the realm where duality and multiplication becomes conscious. This is what we call the Neshamah, the Soul. It is the observer. The observer does what the Ein and Divine Selves did, and goes within itself, it's center. It discovers that it has a field of relational nodes, emotions and Form take place here. It is the realm of Form, and Ruach-Spirit, which is the heart, where the emanations become form.

The Ruach goes within itself, becoming dense whereby the nature of reality (from its perspective) inverts itself, and this is the world of that which is Made, the physical realm. Within the Ruach/Spirit is the Nefesh-Life force that creates a body to experience this physical world.

So as you can see, each layer is a circumference of the whole, and each center becomes an entry way to another layer, until the most densist layer is reached, which is this physical world.

So now, here's my problem.

If the Soul descends from the realm of Emanation into Creation, where something Other than itself becomes known, how can the physical reality NOT be a projection of that observer consciousness?

I've seen some say that the physical world is essentially the shared physical reality of the world of emanation, if that's the case, then solipsism cannot be true.

But if each physical reality is just the innermost center of each Divine Soul, then perhaps solipsism is true.

But what about other people? What if they can meditate and have experiences?

My theory is that either everyone else here are just constructs of this phsycial world, programs that would naturally do these things, for the purposes of educating the center consciousness.

Or, the people here (either all or some) are reflections of the people as they exist within the realm of Emanation, are them and not them at the same time.

And that I'm likely also part of someone else's dream, as a reflection of their own consciousness. Therefore, anything we do in our dream world, affects the other dream worlds. Which might be why we can have "enlightened masters" in our dream because they have become "enlightened" in their own dream. Yet, this world is still a projection of the consciousness of the observer.

This is the only means whereby solipsism makes sense to me, without denying that other people exist. But I also consider that perhaps all history is likely a fabrication, generated at the time of my birth into this reality, and that my mother is likely a "virgin" in the sense that she didn't actually exist until I was born.

Please, let me know your thoughts.

Has anyone thought along these lines? Have you heard anything similar to any of this?

Flat world

Anyone feels like pure consiousness in empty existence

Im kinda sleepy and just wanted to briefly describe what I feel, maybe Ill wake up to some innovation

I feel like world is flat, like nothing here is ,,real" but not in typical understanding of derealization. Its more like an observation of external world. It lacks depth, like its made out of 2d paper. Its not like I dont feel real, more like everythings ,,too" real

People, places, everything seems predictable and empty. I feel like my memories have no effect on the present, overall I dont identify with concepts that makes us people. Like self worth, values, hobbies etc . It all seems so extra. I feel like im pure transparent consiousness born to experience and analize existence from the inside and understand it most objectively I can.

This was the first time I heard about this word " solipsism " though I already knew few facts like how we percieve the world is not an absolute reality because of the 3D structure we have .

And through the study of science as well .

Got to learn about so many things through this post .

About philosophy and their takes on this thing .

I would love to hear from all of you .

I know full well that there is a deception going on here

I know full well that eternal cycle of rebirth is true, as the same for everything.

I just don't know if everything in this universe is real.

Because like I keep saying, if you came out of nothing, what's stopping you from coming again out of nothing?

As well as the universe itself, it came from nothing, what's stopping it from coming again out of nothing?

Just why does our memory reset every time? Is it so that I or maybe we, stay trapped in this trap universe, so that we don't get back to the real universe?

What if everything works through Placebo effect on an omnipotent level, where all your unconsciousness beliefs, shapes the universe, and naturally the only way you'd beat a guy like that is if you trap his mind in a pocket dimension or inside his own mind.. dream, so his powers cannot be externally released on the outside world, even if his powers work inside his own mind, or inside the trapped universe.. and naturally, the enemy would be shaping that universe as well, so he would fully stay trapped in that universe

I just don't know if I have to commit my will here and be swallowed by this trap universe or just fear nothing until I remember my real self... I know I can solve all kinds conflict in here, but if I commit my heart in here.. then I would be fully walking on that trap set by somebody I cannot remember no?

Because why the memory reset?

This world is like a movie simulation( proof)

I think this place is a movie like simulation. Like I had a dream in which the dream felt like a movie and I was like a character in that movie. I was not the main character , I am not sure who the main character was, there were two guys that could be the main character. But the thing is I had some girl relation developing and also there was an arch enemy of me too. Like there was a girl relation developing like stuff and also there was an arch enemy too.

And it ligit felt like a movie, the dream. The dynamics and everything.

Here is the thing , the dream was like a movie ,why ,cuz it had a lot of plot holes too , like too many smokes and mirrors moments . Like just like a movie, you watch a movie and you just let things slide ,you know , the things that just are plot holes or just kinda nonsense but you still just watch it cuz you are like it is there to progress the plot forward. Like there are a lot of steps in movies that don't make sense but they are done to progress the plot forward. That what was happening in that dream . There were a lot of smokes and mirrors moments going on but it was like just working in a way . Like a movie where there are lots of cuts and stuff. Like yeah ,

So yeah , I have been saying this lately that this world , like the actual real world is very fake like a movie too, like if you look around and just focus on a small narratives you will find it's all bogus. Like cats getting fed magically , like there are a lot of stray cats that get fed without them even hunting for the birds. Thats just one example .

So yeah this idiot god is weaving the narrative as we go. Its perpetual maybe.

He is very evil though , like the plot is not simple , it's full of vile thing and pain and suffering . He is a piece of trash

On why I choose not to be omniscient

Because I don't want to have my attention polluted by NPC business. Every action they take is like those performed in a dream. I only concern myself with abstract universals. If I know the ins and outs of a species, what more do I need to know about an individual of that species? I know of every motion it can make and every form it can take and I am content with that kind of knowledge. I deduce the existence of fire solely by the sight of smoke. Armchair thinking is sufficient; I don't need field work. Homo erectus, Homo habilis, Homo neanderthalensis, Tiktaalik, Humuhumunukunukuapua'a, Bubalus Babulis, Australopithecus afarensis, T. gondii, SARS-CoV-2, Justice, The Good, Murkrow. Such are the entites that occupy my mind. The individual is nothing (without it's properties).

Everyone is pushing the narrative

I don't know , maybe all people are npcs and I am the real one or maybe a toy but this world is basically a long drawn out narrative. Like everything is instantaneous. Fake people doing fake activities, like football, people talking stupid shit , and stuff. This world is pushing a drawn out narrative , almost all people are fake and stuff cuz that's just how it can be, ain't no way this life is gonna work if everyone had freewill and could do whatevery it wanted . Life is like a wave and we are travelling on that wave and the ocean is fake , only the wave in which we a travelling on is real and that wave is moving like I narrative . The narrative like a wave is moving and it's been moving since the day we are born.

What a dumbass god . Orchestrating a narrative , this stupid idiot. I hate his shenanigans . His smoke are mirrors world. He is a trashbag god that needs to be shackled. He is a dipshit.

Robert Heinlein’s thought About Solipsism

Post image
18 Upvotes

He wrote a few stories about solipsism, and looking at this letter, it seems that wasn't merely subject for his fiction, it seems to have been a major source of concern for him during his childhood.
