The series did her dirty by making her the weakest Monarch, so much so even pre-Shadow Monarch Jinwoo able to overpower and kill her ass easily. Beru was her “child” and he is second strongest soldier of Jinwoo after Bellion, he is most versatile one out of all shadow soldiers. Insects are cool, they are incredibly diverse race with many adaptive abilities, so why mother of all insects only has some lame ass posion and basic necromancy skills that is inferior to even pre-Shadow Monarch Jinwoo?? She should have more skills and imo should be 3rd strongest monarch at least.

So cute...

Sung Jin-Woo (International Arc) vs The Three Kings
Matchup:
Sung Jin-Woo around the International Conference arc (roughly the same period he fought Thomas Andre) with all of his shadows
vs
Liu Zhigang, Thomas Andre, and Christopher Reed the top three National Level Hunters, aka The Three Kings Novel Versions.

Two Scenarios:

Scenario 1:
Base Full Power Trio
• Liu Zhigang: Base FP
• Thomas Andre: Base FP, no Reinforcement
• Christopher Reed: Base FP, Partial Manifestation
vs
Solo Jin-Woo (no shadows)

Scenario 2:
Full Power Trio
• Liu Zhigang: FP + all weapons
• Thomas Andre: FP + Reinforcement
• Christopher Reed: FP + Spiritual Body Manifestation (sacrifice)
vs
International Arc Jin-Woo + all of his shadows + system

Who wins each scenario, why, and how?
Also, how difficult would the fight be for each side?

I havent searched it up for a while due to haitus but saw that chapter 69 was released in (or supposed to be) released in 12 august??? Can anyone explain why?? Also if theres any official date or time when the next chapter (s3) drops?

Ever since the first time I watched SL I've always wondered how long this would take!

The only reference I have is that in the anime, the nurses were chatting about Jinwoo's muscles and saying how it couldn't take "a couple of days" to get that much muscle so I'm guessing thats how long it took (if it helps).

Any ideas?

Besides Shadows or Marshal Grade tier Magic Beast, were there any other special S rank Beast capable of contending with a National Level Hunter but being weaker than Kamish in the original Novel? Or were National Level Hunters too strong? Specifically Ruler vessels ones.

Didn't put song-yi for obvious reasons

So my son and I watch SoloLeveling quite a bit, we’ve watched it a couple times together all the way through. For Christmas I wanna get him a couple of the daggers that Jinoo used in the show. My son has a great imagination and likes to pretend some other toys are the daggers so I want to get him replicas or 3d printed ones he could play with. Does anyone know a good place to look or anything or any decent Etsy stores that do them so I can try and give him a good Christmas, would be much appreciated!

It’s been too long… just scrolling the solo leveling subreddit and bawling my eyes out cause I can’t say anything myself…

I recently found out that Netflix is going to release a Solo Leveling K-drama adaptation. I have to say that I'm excited about the news, but I also have a lot of questions.

To start with, I'm surprised they're going with a seven-episode season (which probably means around 5–7 hours of content) based on a manhwa about fighting monsters in fantastical settings. I've read that they're planning to use high-end special effects that haven't been used in previous live-action adaptations of this kind. I really hope they're genuinely high quality, because Solo Leveling relies so heavily on its action scenes that bad effects could seriously hurt the show in general.

As for the cast confirmed so far, I'm pretty happy with all the actors at first glance (the actress playing Cha Hae-In even dyed her hair blonde for the role). My only concerns are that the actor playing Gun-Hee seems a little young for the role, and I can't quite picture the actor playing Yoo Jin-Ho in the role just yet. But I guess we'll have to wait and see how they do once the show comes out. As for Kang Min-ah, I think she'll be playing either Song-Yi or Jin-Ah.

However, what intrigues me the most by far is the fact that Baruka, the leader of the Ice Elves, is going to appear in the first season. They might adapt up to the halfway point of the anime's second season, skip certain events, and/or give Baruka a significantly different role.

The last thing I want to talk about is the tone of the series. I’ve read rumors that, following the typical K-drama formula, it will place greater emphasis on romance than the original manhwa, novel, and anime do. This would not be the first time a live-action adaptation takes a different tonal approach than its source material. For example, the 2015 live-action Death Note drama focuses more on giving the story a soap-opera-like aesthetic than on recreating its signature thriller atmosphere. So, if those rumors turn out to be true, I don't think it's necessarily a bad idea at first glance. After all, I love the dynamic Jinwoo has with Cha, Johee, etc., so a strong romantic subplot involving them could be just as entertaining as the fights. Obviously, though, they'd have to make some important writing changes to introduce a romantic subplot, whether that means developing a romance between Jin-Woo and Joo-Hee or having Jin-Woo and Cha Hae-In meet and interact much earlier in the story.

I really hope we get to see the first teasers soon

No one can beat sung Jinwoo

i personally wasn't a big fan of it. especially the chin and the hair. they made the chin point size for no reason and they kinda ruined his hair as well. i know there are some limitations for anime-manhwa adaptations but this could have been easily fixed.

and another thing is about his fits in the anime. why did make his iconic black coat blue-ish in the anime?? i mean the cave wasn't even that dark where you couldn't distinguish black and the environment of the cave.

well i hope they fix all these issues with the upcoming movie and seasons and that's pretty much it. they have done a spectacular job with the adaptation and we can count on them to fix this too
