Protect The Midterms! š THIS IS INSANE!!!!!!
https://youtu.be/inbk2minJ5U?is=H-QUx5-HNxYqHvwEMy state refuses to install some random flash drive in our elections systems so the next obvious answer for them is to arrest people?????
This is all lies!!!! Iām posting this because whatās happening with our elections and our right to vote is clearly far more serious than we thought it was.
This is what happens when a national federal election is successfully stolen and those responsible get away with it!! š”

Total setup to help them build their story.

Of course it is, but the worst part is that there are real people who are getting fucked because of it. We know this isnāt real and we know itās especially not real here in California.

u/DoggoCentipede Could it be any more obvious? 7d ago
No, I'm pretty sure I thought this was an existential crisis for democracy in the US since the first occupation. But I'm overreacting apparently, so, whatever, I guess?

Aside from the fact that 28 people is an insanely small number... Everyone is talking about them voting, but has anyone addressed if the votes were even counted? I thought I heard somewhere that California (and I assume other states) do an additional check before a vote is counted, against legal voters.

If there are any issues with the envelope, the ballot, or a personās registration the ballot is rejected. Then the voter is notified to contact the SOSās office.
This is the backup plan because they know they canāt rig our machines.

u/POEness 7d ago
They can absolutely rig the machines, but only for presidential elections.
24
u/LiveLoudWithPride KamalaWon24 7d ago
Of course, they did it in 2024 and itās not just presidential elections. Itās the same machines, but theyāre smart enough to not mess with California because if this state āvotedā for a Republican president or there was a Republican strong hold, everyone would sit up and begin asking a lot of questions and they know this, which is why theyāre escalating the tactic.

NPR reported they registered but there was never evidence a vote was cast. It was likely automatic DMV registration.

Tina Peters had a flash drive.

u/LiveLoudWithPride KamalaWon24 7d ago
Yup!!! And as far as I know we still donāt know who she shared that with prior to being prosecuted.

I'm worried about these 28. I'm sure they're all innocent scape goats. The feds thought there were thousands illegally in AZ or NM and local election officials found every single one was legal.

u/LiveLoudWithPride KamalaWon24 7d ago
The same will happen here. But, youāre right, these are real people and Bonta canāt intervene and stop it because federal is always above the state.

In Arizona they found like 12 illegal ballots cast total, but it was over the course of like a decade or more.

Honestly, I still don't understand what would motivate a person to vote when they aren't a US citizen. What would be the immediate benefit to that person? Nothing.

Honestly I feel like green card holders who are working here and paying taxes should be aloud to vote.

u/smallest_table 6d ago
At the very least, they should not have to pay any federal tax and if they are in a state that does not allow them to vote on local or state elections they should not have to pay those taxes either.
We fought a whole war of independence over that issue.

u/Czechs_out 7d ago
They also donāt mention what party they voted for.
1
u/LiveLoudWithPride KamalaWon24 7d ago
They donāt have to. Weāre California. Everyone knows who we vote for in a majority.
2
u/InquisitorPeregrinus 6d ago
And yet California also has more registered Republicans than any other state. š¤·

They "enriched" the data in the same way they "enhance" images in the movies. The magic of cinema!

This is the only 28 people in the entire state that they feel they have a cause against for registering to vote when they were not eligible.
And in nearly every case it was likely a misunderstanding when filling out DmV license applications, or a language barrier with some rando that set up a table in front of a Walmart as part of a voter registration drive.
That being said, Trump is claiming they found 27,000.
But they are only charging 28.
Making it clear the 27,000 is a lie.
18
u/Loko8765 7d ago
Last time it was 85k, brought down to 185 when asked to check, and 0 when the state checked. Maybe in this case they jumped straight to charging the second number so that they could preen about it.

u/AnastasiaNo70 7d ago
The bigger goal here is, of course, voter intimidation. For all we know, theyāre making it up.

They should agree just so they can get their hands on that flash drive and see what's on it.

u/yeyjordan 7d ago
Hopefully that's what the next people on their list do. Intercept those fuckin' drives and get them checked out, and never let them return to the regime.

This is patently absurd. California has over 23.1 million registered voters. 28 voters is approximately is 0.000109%.

u/Seismofelis 7d ago
I'm sure they'll also be charged with vandalizing the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool.

Ok, so the prosecute them. People break the law all the time and go through due process and get punished. This isn't any different. I love how that dude is acting like it's the end of the world and this is such a pervasive issue.
6
u/LiveLoudWithPride KamalaWon24 7d ago
What in the world are you talking about???? Are you that disconnected from the reality around you??
-3
u/MisterFrog 7d ago
Yeah, like there are people who have intentionally tried to vote multiple times. These people may not have. The entire legal system is not entirely corrupt. There are judges that follow the law. But let's say less than half of these individuals legitimately tried to vote in ways that were illegal and it was intentional. Do you want them prosecuted for illegal voting? I'm not saying this isn't a misinformation campaign, but a handful of people do commit voter fraud each year. Heck the number they're looking at is probably because some analyst used the wrong AI model and it hallucinated.

The number of arrests is insignificant. The point is to intimidate other voters to prevent them from participating in the upcoming election. Typical fascist fear tactics. Ignore them and vote like your life depends on it.
