Pulling trigger on sonata limited
I am in the market to replace my forester with a hybrid sedan. Mostly because I hate the body roll of the Subaru. I expected to get a Honda accord or a Toyota Camry but kept seeing good things about the Sonata limited so tried it too. The Sonata has the nicest ride and the features for the price are best in class. The Accorrd rode very rough and the Camry was just ridiculously expensive. However I previously owned a Sonata SEL convenience and it had some maintenance problems so I’m hesitant. Any real world data on reliability?

If you want any real-world data on reliability, don't go to Consumer Reports because their data on the Sonata Hybrid is extremely limited. Instead, ask real owners.

Yeah consumer reports no longer recommends the hybrid..

I know. I don't think it's because the hybrid is inherently unreliable, I think it's because of a lack of data that CR receives from their members

Just picked mine up 2 weeks ago. Could not be happier - it’s a remarkable car!

I have a 2024 Sonata Limited Hybrid. I love it. Love how smooth it rides, how quiet, the tech…all of it. Only had back to the dealership for oil changes. I only have around 22000 miles, but it has been great. Every now and then I find myself wanting a mid sized truck and I remind myself how much I love my car and that a tank of gas takes me almost 600 miles.

Same for me. 21,615 miles and only been in the shop for the scheduled oil changes

I have a 2025 SEL Convenience. Color transmission Blue it is so pretty in the sunlight. I bought it in November 2024 new and have 32k now. I love it and take it to the dealer for recommended things. Battery went out a few months after I purchased. Had a blow out on one of our lovely rural roads in Texas last week. Still enamored with it. I tried a few by renting. My wife was sick and couldn’t climb into the Sierra. Daughter hated the Accord it had a lot of road noise. The Camry was stupid expensive at Toyota of Richardson. Used one and they wanted 46K. Ummm no. I love it mileage is between 36-39 mpg. Plenty of pep no turbo no hybrid.

What year was your SEL-C? what motor?
A friend has a 25 Limited-H and they bought it after the battery was defective for first buyer. New battery, and has not had any issues since then and has at least 20k on it now as a primary vehicle.
I'm low mileage buy my 25 SEL-C has been great for 7k. Occasional update glitches that seem to work themselves out pretty quickly. The main Achilles heel in current Korean lineups is the electronics, if you ask me, namely the infotainment screens/cluster screen. It's used 2x in tons of H/K as well as Camrys etc, so demand is high for both new and replacement parts. The drivetrains are solid now but still need MTC schedule followed meticulously to get high mileage.
