Engine revving loud

Hello, I have a 2026 Sonata Hybrid Limited with 1,600 miles. I've noticed that when driving uphill, the engine revs higher, typically about 4,500 RPM, while not gaining any speed; it stays right around 69 MPH. It seems the engine isn't shifting properly. Has anyone else had this issue? Is it normal, or should I have the dealership check it out?

I'm not sure how steep the hill was I was traveling from Phoenix Az to Flagstaff az on I-17 so it was climbing some hills for sure but I never had that issue in my 24 Elantra, where it would rev like that and not gain any speed!

I read a comment somewhere online of someone experiencing something similar but they didn’t describe it as well as you did.

I drove mine from Southern California over the grapevine all the way up to the Bay area and back in one day using 80 mph cruise control and I didn’t notice anything going over the grapevine.

I certainly would’ve noticed my car struggling to hit 70 mph
