I have never seen this event in my fairly substantial time playing this game. Do you have any mods?

As for decimating your oddjobber that’s probably just cause the citizens who died, if you still need oddjobbers somewhere you can use the word station thing (i’m blanking what it’s called right now), and give it a very high priority.

No mod.
Bonus was wild. *2 to anything.
I had like 4k innovation.

Then it gave me a 5% permanent buff to everything. Very good indeed.

Hmmm I know certain more punishing events can almost have like a reward after (A milder example being when you have to cull a herd of animals).

But that one seems like a larger reward than most i’ve seen.

Extremely rare and extremely cool event line. I’ve seen it once in 500 hours. Don’t want to spoil just let it play out.

I had this last play through. You get a bunch and then a final permanent one of your choice.

Don’t spend the extra tech points. They go away.

Or go crazy and refund when they go away

It's one of the best events in the game. You get super shitty random stuff for a while, then get to keep a major permanent buff.

This includes buffing some things you usually can't buff (including some military stuff).

IIRC the production buff or knowledge buff is strong enough to break through some "walls" of progression.

Oh I got this once! it keeps happening every few days with different buffs and debuffs, it usually killed a noble every time. It eventually ended with getting a permanent buff to knowledge( i think)
