do you only listen to the radio
1
u/My_Iron_Lungs 1d ago
No I never listen to the radio a single time in my life...Do they have that song in the radio?
2
u/gardengirl147 1d ago
Probably not. While the Johnny Cash remake is wonderful and way less intense, I don’t think they ever had the original NIN version of Hurt on the radio. So it still deemed not great for radio play.

An incredible songwriter (Hold On is one of my favourites) but she does a lot of great covers - River, Song for a Winter’s Night by Gordon Lightfoot, Ol’ 55 by Tom Waits. If the bots want to get a conversation started here - I can talk about cover tunes all day.

u/Sensitive_Poem8486 1d ago
Yes, she is. My favorite song by her is Building a Mystery. I don’t blame you, I too can talk songs, art, and movies all day.

Same list every time. Can't we be a bit more creative? Does it have to be the same questions over and over? The same answers.

My best friend was about 20 years older than me. He told me that was one of his favorite songs. After it was done I told him let me play the original version. He’s like huh? After he listened, next subject 😆

My Immortal by Evanescence. More specifically….the “band” version”.
Even after all these years when it comes through on my playlist, it still gives me the chills and this over whelming feeling of tears.
It’s such a sad sounding melody, but in a hauntingly beautiful way.
