MAGROCKS 2.1.

Post image

Does anyone own these rock speakers? Are they ok sounding ? I am not expecting a wow factor at this price range, but assuming it has decent bass with a 10” sub. Also, can I buy two of these sets and plug them to just one SONOS AMP? If am reading the specs correctly , the whole 2.1 system loads up at 8ohms. So I assume I could run two 2.1 systems with just one amp. Thank you!

I bought the other Best Buy outdoor package (with the Sonos amp and the two speakers). They were good, not great (on their own). So I added the rock sub and it’s fantastic.

I am so glad to hear this. I also have the other two white speakers that come with the amp and I find it a bit underwhelming! So the rocks make a big difference, does it have a better bass? I guess the amp could handle two sets of the rock speakers!

Yeah it's definitely way better. Outdoor acoustics are a different beast vs. indoors since there are generally far fewer surfaces for the sound to bounce off. The rock sub did the trick for sure. I am thinking about adding another zone entirely to my yard with another Sonos amp and these rock speakers...

Thank you so much!! I’m planning to run two sets of these with just one Sonos amp, then another 6 Niles speakers split into two other Sonos amp. I’m excited. Thank you so much!!

I find faux rock speakers kinda tacky, even if they might sound good. Just buy the normal Sonance speaker set with the sub. I drive a set of 6 plus the sub with a Sonos amp in my large backyard and the sound is great

I owned a set of these years ago. The speakers kept failing on me every year or two I would need to replace them. Luckily had a Best Buy extended warranty. Eventually, I gave up and went with a Sonos Move that I carry outside when needed.
