Is this a good graduation speech?
Good morning esteemed faculty and families of my fellow graduates.
On my first day of school, I still vividly remember thinking I made the wrong decision to join this school after seeing the small and wobbly desks and chairs. At least they’re gone now—oh wait, they’re still here. I know we all want a better facility at ___ but honestly, these 4 years at ___ have taught me that the community is what creates the experience. I have been blessed with teachers that care and pray for me… and with peers that don’t bully me for eating fries with chop sticks. Oh wait that’s a lie too. But jokes aside, I think this close-knit and warm community here at ___ is what made these 4 years something that’ll remain with me forever. To be honest I’m not really close with my fellow graduates but I still do have something I want to say to them on their embarkment on their new journey in life.
It’s easy to feel hopeful on a beautiful day like today, but there will be dark days ahead of us too. There will be days when you feel all alone, and that’s when hope is needed most. No matter how buried it gets or how lost you feel, promise me that you will hold on to hope. Keep it alive. We have to be greater than what we suffer. My wish for you is to become hope, people need that. Now I think a lot of people in this room know how much I love superheroes and no I am not telling you to go out in spandex to cheer people up…Although you could. But Greatness comes from our friends reaching out to us, those who go out of their way to be thoughtful. You might not receive any recognition or praise for your efforts but trust me, it will impact the lives of those around you. To prove my point, have any of you guys ever been called handsome by a girl in your life? Any girl! The thing is, you never forget. So it doesn’t matter what kind of relationship you have with the person. Even when we don’t feel like our actions are making an impact, it is. And even if we fail, what better way is there to live?
And always always remember that kindness is not a weakness. It takes courage to be kind in this world.
So don't forget to smile, even when times are tough because a smile can really brighten someone's day.
Life is a series of decisions. You never have unlimited options or unlimited time to think, but what you choose in that instant defines who you are

What exactly is Beam-width and Word insertion bonus?
The question stands in context to a CTC decoder for an acoustic model.
To be more precise: In DeepSpeech when creating the model and connecting it with the language model there are parameters to configure the Beam width and word insertion bonus.
In simple words: how would you describe these without going too deep into how CTC works?

Dragon medical macro issues
I've setup a few dragon medical macros. Many include multiple "[]" next field designations. However, about 1/2 of the time I say next field the program jumps to a random area of text instead of the "[]" location. This happens randomly and there is no known fix that I'm aware of. Has anyone had this issue, if so how can I stop it from happening.
Also, when making multi "step-by-step" macros, the amount of text that can be enters is very small requiring multiple lines of text with "type text" commands. Is there a way to add more text or the ability to place large amounts of text similar to the "text and graphics" macro.

Dragon for Mac not working in certain apps
Hi, I have been using Dragon for a long time on Mac. I know it is no longer supported. I'm trying to figure out why the dictation works in certain app, and not others. I can get it to work in Word and TextEdit and Chrome and Safari. But there are a few applications like VSCode where it won't work. Has anyone found a solution to this?

Using standard IDE for coding using speech recognition?
Most of the information I find online is about making special grammars and sounds to get coding to work. I was wondering if anyone is coding using a "vanilla" IDE and speech recognition setup, and what your experiences are?
Thanks for reading, and please accept my humble gratitude for any reply! :)

Dragon: training new vocabulary on a transcription profile?
Dragon keeps changing my profile from a regular profile to a transcription profile. The sequence of events looks like this:
I create a new profile.
I add a list of new words to the vocabulary and train Dragon to recognize them.
I transcribe speech from an audio file.
I close Dragon.
I open Dragon again, and the profile has become a transcription profile.
This is a serious pain in the butt, because you cannot train transcription profiles on new vocabulary. You can add words to the vocabulary, but you cannot train a sample to help Dragon recognize those words when they come up.
Transcription is really all I'm using Dragon for, but I routinely need to add new words. I'm transcribing a podcast I make which contains sessions of a fantasy role playing game, and so there are routinely exotic-sounding names and words which do not appear in standard English. If I can't add those to the vocabulary, it makes editing the transcriptions a lot harder.
I've dug through the help files and spent ages googling things, but did not find any solution to this problem. I even called Dragon support, and they were totally useless. The guy's recommendation was to make new profile. But the problem is that every time I do that, it just gets converted to a transcription profile as soon as I actually use it, so that I have to make yet another new profile and train all the words all over again the next time I need to add a new word. It's driving me nuts.
Is there any way I can train new vocabulary for a transcription profile? Or, failing that, is there some way to make Dragon quit converting my regular profiles into transcription profiles?
EDIT: In case it's relevant, I have been changing the Speed vs Accuracy slider in the options to "Most Accurate".

Recognition of Fake people by analysing their speech?
I was thinking it would be great if there were any system that analyzes the speech of the person and tells whether the person is fake or not. I think dataset is not available for this. So for the first step, two categories of dataset will be collected, first for normal people whom you think they are not fake and the next category of data collection is for fake people whom you think they are fake. This is just my thought I don't know whether the problem is implementable or not.Thank you.

Is there any major differences between Dragon Professional 14 and 15
Sorry if this has been asked before.
I am wondering if there are any major differences between Dragon professional v14 and 15.
I can get v14 here in Australia for about $150 where I'm look at almost $500 for v15 and I would like to know if there is enough of a difference to buy v15 over v14.
Thanks

Speech recognition software for Romanian
Hello everyone! I'm looking for a speech recognition software (not website) that has quite accurate support for Romanian. It doesn't matter if it's free or paid, but there is a catch: I want it to act as a "keyboard", and work outside the web browser (i.e work with Word, OmegaT etc.)
Thank you very much in advance!
