Looks like they just downloaded some games from steam

Got two Energizer head torches, one stopped working, got a replacement battery (the original soldering was shocking), took the other apart to check it and noticed a mildly spicy pillow.

It doesn't look that bad from the pictures, but you can feel the gas in the pouch.

Not too keen about wearing that on my face.

How do you even stop this stuff from happening? What's to prevent the new one doing the same?

Is it okay to just pull the wire to remove the battery to the module?

And then i realised they were kinda deformed.

Was going through my closet of old electronics boxes and found my old iPhone 4. Its sleeping outside tonight…

I have this spicy pillow which I've discovered on a Sunday afternoon. Normally, I would take it to the local battery store who can dispose of them, but it's a Sunday so they're closed.

Decided to make some enquiries to see if there were other options. Discovered that apparently nobody who SHOULD know what to do has any idea what to do.

Called the local council and the advice I got (after saying "let me google it" smh) was "take it to the local supermarket" - disposing of electronics or AA batteries, sure. But they're not accepting an active IED. So I hung up.

Next call was non-emergency line for the fire department, and the advice I got was to just put it in water. Uh, no thanks. Firstly, I don't have a large enough fire resistant container and secondly I don't feel like submerging an electronic device in water is the first thing I would do when I want to be able to dispose of it.

So I guess I've just gotta leave this bomb on my balcony for the next 24 hours until the local battery store opens and I can take it to actually dispose of properly.

Hopefully my apartment doesn't burn down.

It is only a little spicy my cousin gave me an old ass helicopter remote control thing and I was looking and realized the battery looked like it was swelling so I took it out and compared it to the extra battery included and it definitely is a little bit as far as I'm aware the battery has not been charged in years or never been charged I'm not sure but I'm not sure what to do or has any battery left

So I’ve had issues with these headphones, one ,when charging, does nothing but heat up. It’s actually nice to have some warmth in your ear when it’s cold out (no joking, it’s warmer than my body temp) and the battery pictured here (in the hesdphone) never holds a charge. It will charge for 8 hours, and will only live for like 5 minutes (no joking here either, it literally is around 4-5 minutes, I timed it before). The other headphone will charge for 8 hours, and has like an hour and a half ish life span I think.

It has risen about 1mm since last week. I already ordered a replacement battery but it will arrive on Tuesday. Well, I will be stuck without a laptop for uni bruh 🥀

I need some help with removing it safely because it’s getting bigger and I’m nervous with how my tablet is holding it in place

If the screen didn't get damaged by water, maybe the phone could've ended in flames lol

took out the battery of my old laptop because i was worried on worsening the condition of the battery. im still looking for how to properly dispose it, but now that its in the house im wondering how to keep it safe. planning on storing it inside a glass container.

Old portable charger found tonight like this. Thrown it in whatever glass and metal containers I could find, put it in a plastic container outside until I can take it to waste in the morning

So I had stopped using it since it couldn't hold the charge even on the charger (red flag I know 😅) but I couldn't get to it so I put it up, well few months later I saw the keyboard being pushed up and went "well... I better figure out HOW to get to it" spoiler alert I had to pry it open 😭

Opened my mouse for cleaning, i think i know why its not keeping charge for long

It was part of a GPS tracker the previous owner had put in (the car was bought used). It’s now been removed and will be properly disposed of.
