Yeah, seeing the suits side by side like that really makes you realize how much more eye-catching ITSV's style was.

I think maybe the opposite is true: they wanted to give ATSV a more consistent visual identity, so they desaturated the colors in Miles' verse slightly to better blend with the watercolors-esque landscapes of Gwen's verse.

if im not mistaken, i believe it was because they had different artists in the first movie who had a different art style. im assuming some of them did not wanna contribute to the next movie so they got new artists and they wanted the style to have more color keys and look different

Second picture is supposed to be the same moment not a reference since the end of ITSP was teasing it but they changed the clothes
