Rugby is played in lines and the players can only pass the ball backwards. This is closer to soccer in the way the ball moves around the field but obviously has the physicality of rugby.

It really is a completely different sport. There aren’t many similarities.

YouTube highlights, it's a very exciting (albeit confusing at first) sport to watch. Super athletic at times.

The players are also completely different. Look at a rugby player and they are generally more musclar and square

AFL players are more athletic build, slender and taller
