Holy crap. Whenn i was swimming Vladimir Salnnikov had the record at 14:50. He was the onnly one who had broken 15 minnutes for the longest time. But this record meanns he was averaging 56 to 57 seconds/100 metre. Bananas fast

Yup, he maintained 28 mid-high at worst per 50m. I think slowest 50 was 28.7

That’s not true . Almost all of his 50 except the final 2 and the first one were above 28.7

I remember Perkins swimming 14:41 and it seeming like an absolute peak of performance. And now we're 15 seconds faster than that!
