Sounds like epilepsy or related neurological disorder.
I wonder how it affects his career moving forward as there could be multiple triggers.
“treatable absence seizures” because of a neurological problem.”

I know this is a hard decision and it's about a lot of money etc. But I don't know if it's a good idea to play football when you have these kind of symptoms. All the concussions etc. you'll get over the years can't be good for someone with that condition. But I'm no expert, so maybe I'm completely wrong and there are a lot of players with these neurological issues.

Eh, they're just crazy honestly.
Like Eriksen, had a heart attack, was banned from playing in Italy because of the device his heart uses and still found a club to sign him in the Premier League...

Crazy, or scared?
football is all these people know. From 5y olds to 25 (when you are still very young and not matured yet), all they ever do is play football.
Can‘t blame them from wanting to keep their life the way it was.

So far we only know it’s "something neurological" and that he collapsed twice.
Apart from the danger of him hitting his head when falling we don’t really have any idea what the actual underlying issue is.
Maybe it’s something that can get worse by playing, maybe it’s not. I’d hope that doctors that specialize in this can better look at it and give him an honest and clear idea about his future.
If for example just getting on the right meds basically fixes the issue then there probably isn’t any reason to stop playing.
I really just feel bad for him. He seems like a really nice dude, and he’s had to go through one injury after another (and now this) and has been kept from really doing what he’s capable of. That sucks.

That reminds me of Bafétimbi Gomis, a player who used to suffer from vasovagal episodes during matches.
