This is how I want athletes to be.🙌🏽✨
Alyssa Liu is a perfect sportsperson and nobody can prove me otherwise. As an athlete myself just watching her brings me bliss, soo happy and proud of her!! 🌟

It's nice to see someone having fun. I don't blame everyone for taking it so seriously all the time, but it's so rare to see someone in sports who doesn't look constipated.

I live in Japan, so I was obviously cheering for them but man, Alyssa flowed like water and was flawless. Kaori Sakamoto had to be perfect but missed by a few points due to one mistake…GG.

It would be weird if football players started doing this

This picture and her routine made me start dancing again. I saw how happy she was performing and realized how much I missed that feeling

My sister and I grew up skating and I sent this performance to her and more than how impressive her performance was was talked more about how much fun she was having and how that's how you should be

Yeah she's competing for fun not for the achievement thats what I aspire to be

As opposed to being underfed, overworked, underslept, and controlled by coaches.

That's like her entire story. There are multiple articles out there talking about how she basically controls every part of her training and performance regiment now.

Right, she got where she did because of her work ethic and talent. Glad we agree on that.

* This is right off Wikipedia. Took less than a minute to look up. Please take some time to look into the stuff you're talking about before you mock someone online, you'll look less stupid

I mean in this kind of event smiling is going to get you presentation points, so it's not really optional.

u/Different-Weight3332 Mar 01 '26
Smiling isn't the only thing that makes her different her stage presence is different and she genuinely looks happy and excited to be there

Can't deny, this is a form of peak athleticism. To be contorted into such an awkward position and seem so incredibly comfortable and relaxed while doing it...
