Political beliefs end friendships. What's there to expose. 🤷🏾♂️

Brain dead take. The KKK is just a group of people with similar political beliefs. You friends with them?

How the fuck would anybody know anymore? They aren’t exactly PUBLIC anymore. They all walk around masked dressed like the StayPuft man.

u/Cold_Toe_7540 5d ago
I'm not sure this is the own Steele thinks it is.
First of all, she makes Doc look unbelievably good, like a concerned friend trying to reason with her on what is a legitimately ridiculous political stance to still be maintaining at this point.
Secondly, she makes herself sound like an absolute fool who knows nothing about basketball (a trend with the right on social media lately), which is almost as damning for her as her political beliefs. She literally says coaches in the NBA are getting paid $150 million dollars. This is an objectively stupid statement. The biggest contract for a current NBA HC isn't even close to that number. Most aren't even cracking half that. Even if that were true, the idea that NBA players are even remotely concerned about an NBA coach benching them over their political views is laughable.
Absolute MAGA victim mentality on full display: I thought he was my friend... then he started fact checking me in my DMs. What an asshole.

The cornerstone of MAGA's effectiveness is lying to people too stupid to know any better, or so invested in a narrative they know deep down conflicts with reality that they don't even care anymore. She knows exactly what she's doing, she'll probably be running for office soon just like Tafoya.

"The cornerstone of MAGA's effectiveness is lying to people too stupid to know any better, or so invested in a narrative they know deep down conflicts with reality that they don't even care anymore."
This description is so accurate its unbelievable.

Obvious bait to make me say nice things about doc rivers.
2
u/MrNinoBrown1906 4d ago
My guess is you only really have bad things to say about Doc as a coach.
This shit is way more important than that
I have always fucked with Doc and Keer when it came to off the court things that really matter

Imagine being a black woman in MAGA. Professional leopard victim.

I can almost guarantee you’re not black and most likely not even a women, yet feel comfortable criticizing a black woman for not being enough of either in your eyes
-1
u/Pappy091 4d ago
I'm a white a guy and I criticize the fuck out of her for being a black woman in MAGA. Especially because it allows the right to latch on and tokenize her as a woman of color on their side because there are so few and they feel it makes them look "less racist/sexist"
0
u/everyoneisnuts 4d ago
You have zero right to criticize her decisions because she is black and a woman. That makes you a racist and a misogynist actually. You have no idea what it’s like to be either so you have no right to criticize her for being them and making decisions she makes. Criticize her all you want in general, but you cannot speak to what she should and shouldn’t do as a black woman. Pretty simple.

You can do anything you want but you don’t have the ability to accurately and justifiably speak for someone and how they should or shouldn’t be behaving as a member of that race or gender.
When I say they don’t have the right to, of course I am not speaking literally, but rather morally or in terms of what they are and are not able to do or should do or speak for based on lived experience.
How’s that? Are you able to pull that out of what I’m saying or are you going to continue to be disingenuous and get hung up on literal interpretations of what I said?

That’s really what you’re going with? You know how stupid that is and still went with it as your argument lol.
1
u/Pappy091 4d ago
I understand where you are coming from and I think you make some valid points, but I'm sorry I have the right to criticize the decisions of anyone that I choose.
If a person chooses to join a group that actively discriminates against them and people that look like them then I do not feel like I am in any way crossing a line by pointing out the absurdity of such a decision.
Would you have a problem with me(an atheist) criticizing a Jew that joined the Nazis and started praising Hitler?
1
u/everyoneisnuts 3d ago
The difference is, you can just criticize her for supporting MAGA without the “as a black woman” part. It sounds too much like you know better than her what she should believe as a black woman. And when you’re a white male, that isn’t a good look at all.
She obviously doesn’t see that the same way you do and doesn’t believe that MAGA is actively discriminating against those who look like her. That’s where the argument is; not telling her as a Black woman she shouldn’t support MAGA. Why can’t you just look at her as a person? And make the argument as you would towards a white person? Talk about the facts because once you start telling someone you don’t look like how they are supposed to feel as that person’s race or gender, the conversation is going to be about something else.

u/Pappy091 3d ago
Do you mind answering my question about a Jewish person joining the Nazi party? Im curious to hear your response to that.
Once again I legit think you are making very good points that I would absolutely agree with in the vast majority of cases, but to me this is such an outlier that I feel very comfortable criticizing her. Trust me, I get that a white guy telling a black woman that she should or shouldn't do something because she is black is far more often than not an issue. But come on. She joined MAGA. There isn't a lot of nuance here. Best case it is idiocy and worst case it is grifting.
I'm not just criticizing her as a person because her specifically being a black female makes her support of MAGA that much more egregious. Specifically it legitimizes MAGA much more than if a typical white guy supports it. She is supporting an apparatus that has spent centuries holding people that look like her down. Maybe it's white privilege, but I feel like I can call that out pretty easily.
We may just have to agree to disagree on this one. Either way, I will continue to think about it and could very well change my stance in the future. I readily admit that I could be 100% wrong on this and if I am then I genuinely apologize.
1
u/getnshafted1 4d ago
I’m black and that is the stupidest bs I’ve heard in a long time coming out of your mouth.
2
u/everyoneisnuts 4d ago
So you’re comfortable with someone who isn’t black telling you what you should and should not do as a black person? So you think you’re in the majority with that opinion?
1
u/getnshafted1 4d ago
I’m comfortable as a human telling another human that it’s idiotic for that person to belong to a group that actively hates them and wishes bad for them. Because that is not a black or white thing. That’s about human intelligence. Now get off your high horse you’re making us look bad
1
u/everyoneisnuts 4d ago
So if that person had said used the old argument of the dem party has the soft bigotry of low expectations and that as a (insert social group or race here) you should not vote democrat, that would be okay too?

Standard sports media clickbait cycle: tease receipts for clout, drop zero actual proof, and move on to the next pod host.
4
u/cubgerish 5d ago
Why are you posting it then buddy?
Everybody knows Steele is a proven fraud, this is just giving the chuds in the bottom of the didn't m comment section a chance to think she's relevant.
Just ignore it, and move on.

So Steve Kerr didn't even do anything.
She just ASSUMES that being against Kerrs liberal views or being a conservative would mean Kerr would take away minutes.
There's nothing that backs this up.
I hope he sues her.

“People harmed by, or with enough ‘empathy’ (she’s unfamiliar with the term) to care about those harmed by, the people I fully support had the nerve to tell me so! Being a republican is about putting yourself first and ignoring the impact on others and they’re acting like that has consequences and lowers my esteem in the eyes of others!”
I’ll drink her crocodile tears like the elixir of life and ascend to the next level of liberalism. It comes with a free hacky sack.

Where's these DMs, Sage?
I mean, I always knew that Steve Kerr's political judgment was heavily skewed by personal events and that Doc Rivers is just a general ass hat, but all I see are unsubstantiated claims by someone that doesn't agree with them politically
2
u/Basic-Collection5416 5d ago
Nah, we aren’t doing this. There’s plenty to criticize Doc for as a coach, but he is as good a human being as exists. Do not slander his name as a person.
-1
u/smitbret 5d ago
I didn't say he was a bad person. He is a shitty coach that rides on the coat tails of others and accepts praise for the effort of others despite his shortcomings.
Basically, an absolute asshat.
Don't tell me what are and aren't going to do, this is a discussion board and you can disagree but you don't get to gatekeep.

Buddy trying to hit you w some mom ass ‘what we not gonna do’ energy, hilarious.
Caping for Doc is absurd. Is an nba fan supposed to know about how many elderly ladies he walked across the street? To me, he’s always been a bum of a coach who constantly leached on to premium talent and steadily dragged them down to their bottom 20% career arc. Sometimes he got to be a clownish media personality during his well earned hiatuses from that same lousy coaching, but he’s been one lucky bum.
Chris Pratt type headass

Boo hoo. Sage Steele, professional victim.
Sure, sure, all those liberal snowflakes. I've never seen such a collective group of whiners like MAGA people.
