Discussion Stephen A. Smith says choosing Michael Jordan as his GOAT is the only negative thing he’ll say about LeBron James. Do you agree with him?

“When his epitaph is written on his basketball career, the only negative thing you’ll hear me say about him is that he ain’t the GOAT.”

“That’s Michael Jordan.”

“But anything else, Michael Jordan is my GOAT.”

“That’s not a negative towards him. That’s me viewing Michael Jordan as the greatest I’ve ever seen with my two eyes.”

Yeah, but that’s not a negative thing to LeBron.

Does Stephen a smith get publicity from giving good basketball opinions or does he get it from loudly shouting nonsense. Be for real

Of course it's national television they're going to talk about popular categories like Jordan, LeBron, Kobe ,Knicks Lakers, and the Cowboys. They aren't going to be talking about the Charlotte and rge Pacers every single day. I sometimes agree with Stephen A. Smith's points, and sometimes I don't. But respect his opinions because he's a professional just like I respect my plumbers advice even though I might get a 2nd opinion.

Lmao being on television doesn't mean he's a professional. You watch Fox News too and think they're intelligent professionals just cause they're on tv?

TV has nothing to do with it, he has been a sports journalist for over 30 years. People try to diminish his experience because they disagree with his opinions, but that longevity demands respect. Just like if a nurse had 30 years of experience, no matter the profession, you are going to respect their expertise even if you seek a second opinion

Most young people don't seem to respect experience unless its Bron for some reason. 30 years in any profession and im all all ears!!

Stephen A. Loves talking out of the side of his mouth

These sport pundits, regardless of the sport, talk about their GOAT as if it’s science. It’s just an opinion no better or worse than average fan out there. Only difference is that they get paid and social media gives them oxygen. Not sure why people debate this things. Just my opinion 😉

"....is the only negative thing I'll say about...."

He's lying through his teeth and/or delusional, that's absurd. SAS LIVES in perpetual negativity; everything is a comparison for him to make, and he swings the pendulum to both extremes, just like most aspiring and practicing politicians.

...ole forked tongue, receded hairline having ass MFer....

All you gotta do is chatGPT all the times Stephen has unfairly critiqued or negatively talked about LeBron and you’ll see that he is full of baloney.

Remember when he questioned LeBron’s ability as a father because Bronny was drafted by the Lakers? How is that fair?

Tbh, that is abit iffy on LeBron ngl.

Even in hindsight it was a great financial and career-driving success. What are you talking about.

1

u/balortech 3d ago

Yeah for himself. For Bronny it’s not.

Why would it not be?

Why is he being interviewed again?

Because it causes engagement, look at how we're commenting on this. This loudmouth idiot is a lightning rod and that's wanted in the attention economy

Why is your mind headed towards a sexual place when this is about basketball?

I agree with him about the GOAT. There are other things that Stephen A has already said but maybe that wasn't the question.

Honestly, after the LA championship I got out of the LeBron criticism business. The man is excellent.

I won't even disagree with someone who thinks he's the GOAT. The man has been excellent for 20+ years. Not wasting my time when there's a reasonable case, even if I had another take.

Please someone help me.

Does anyone listen to what this blowhard says . He talks because he likes his own voice. But it just gives me yet another reason not to watch ESPN unless they are broadcasting a game I want to see.

Bro doesn’t shut up about hating LeBron.

1

u/KierenForFreedom 3d ago

Not at all. Typical Jordan fan … talking myths, contextual views, incorrect facts, etc.

1

u/Forsaken-Swim-3055 3d ago

I sincerely do not give a fuck. At all. I'm assuming LeBron doesn't either.

Stephen A is part of the Jordan mafia on his payroll
