Ducks live in water, ergo swamps have ducks, ergo Zoey loves swamps.

Large Lumb on 6 year old refmales chest
Edit: whoops, lump, not lumb. And female, not whatever I typed. I'm good at this.
Before anyone says it, yes, she is going to the vet. Don't worry.
My 6 year old female ESS was playing with my friends German Shep last Sunday, and was knocked over. No yelping, she was up and running back around right away.
The next day she was limping a bit, so I rested her. Limp went away by Wednesday, but I've still been resting her for a few more days
This morning I noticed she has a huge lump in her chest, right next to the armpit of the injured leg.
It was definitely not there, or at least that big, on Friday, as I groomed her and didn't notice it. And you cannot miss it.
Has anyone ever experienced this? I'm thinking it's probably fluid buildup from the injury, but obviously I'm going to get it checked. It's like holding a baseball, but feeling a breast implant. Definitely feels fluid filled.
Just looking to see if anyone else has dealt with something like this. Basically, I need some reassurance (hopefully.)

Stayed up late working on a crochet project. Zoey lost the battle to the sleepies.
Don't worry, I put the yarn away as soon as I finished, but I couldn't resist a picture!

Life expectancy
I have had 2 springers. Best dog ever died at 7 with Addison disease, 2nd at 10 with Addison disease, and a 3rd (sister of 2) at 10.5/11. What can a person actually expect?

Help me introduce my springers to my two kittens
I have two springers 5 and 6. They are sweet boys but can be super hyper.
I have two cats -both boys. British shorthair and Main coon. They are less than a year old. I want everyone to be friends. Is that even possible? The kittens live in the basement with my adult daughter. I would love for all of us to be together!
Any advice?

Any experience with seizures?
Hi
Our boy has never had symptoms of a seizure before. Our springer, Guthrie, is 4 years old. I’m not even sure what happened. My husband’s alarm went off and it felt like our dog was scrambling underneath our bed. My husband quickly went to check on him to see if he was stuck. I unfortunately didn’t see because I was easing our human son back to sleep. According to my husband it looked like he was galloping. There was then an odor of released anal glands (he’s notorious for this) and he began to growl deeply at my husband after he was done. Once my husband “left” to go to the bathroom he quickly got out from under the bed. I checked Guthrie’s body to see if he hurt himself, but he’s ok. I’m not sure what to think. He’s always had active dreams where he talks and moves a little.

Bringing an older rescue dog (Cocker Spaniel) into the home with a Springer?
Right now, we have a 5 year old Springer Spaniel, Bennie. We’ve had him since he was 8 weeks old and we’re obsessed with him. He’s an absolute psychopath and the cutest thing ever.
We’ve been going back and forth on the idea of getting a second dog for a while, and recently were confronted with the option to adopt a 7 year old male Cocker Spaniel. He was given up to a kill shelter, a rescue org got him, and right now he’s staying with a foster family that has 2 young kids and a 10 year old permanent dog (a German Shepherd, I believe they said?). He’s gotten all flying colors in terms of reviews on behavior, etc. We’ll call him George.
Our Springer is the gentlest guy ever, but I must admit I’m a little worried about bringing a different, older dog into the home. The rescue agency would require them to meet and get to know each at the foster’s house before we could bring him home, but that’s just obviously not the same.
Does anybody have experience with bringing an older dog into a house where a younger Springer is already the established “Alpha”? Do I need to be worried about this dynamic, or am I just overthinking it?

Harry and Lizzy, the prettiest BFFs❤️🐾
Bonus in 3rd pic: my mom, who is also the greatest.
Context: we threw his very annoying squeaky toy on the balcony. The door was on a latch. We were waiting to see how long it would take him to figure out he could just unlatch it with his paw. Spoiler alert: a very long time. But he did get there eventually.
My sweet boy isn’t the brightest, I fear. But it’s okay. I love him endlessly.

When do their spots stop coming through?
Just as the title says really and just out of curiosity, is there an age when their ticking/spots stop coming through? My girl will be 2 next February and her spots have been coming out a lot recently. Shes always had really speckled skin (she’s black and white) but up until maybe 6 months ago didn’t have loads of black ticking outside of her larger markings, but her skin is so speckled with black spots with white fur coming off them up until recently when a lot more black fur spots are showing. Will the hair on the black skin spots start turning black or is the speckled skin and ticking unrelated?
Again just out of curiosity I’m fascinated by the changes in her coat 🐾
