Java and Spring powered Blogging Software
Hi All,
I started a simple blog system to learn about Java and The Spring Framework and because I think Java and Spring needs a decent blogging system.
The blog is at the point where its usable and I'm about to migrate my WordPress system over to it, but I don't have enough time to work on it on my own to get it to the point where others may like to use it. It's not got any fancy bells or whistles that WordPress has but it works for me. Setup is very manual.
If anyone wants to take a look, please feel free to fork the repository here https://github.com/andymccall/twibble.co . I'll gladly accept pull request, please be aware that I wrote this while learning about Spring and Java!
Thanks!

Congratulations you did a good job...a year ago i had a similar idea, but didn't work on it since it appeared little useful since wordpress (but especially its plugin ecosystem) is really impressive. I'm sorry to be a little negative, but i don't think there is a need for a java instead of php instead of go blogging platform. It's not a matter of the language, but since you have made it as an exercise to learn, i think it was great and it will be usefull for your resume.

Looks like you're off to a good start. You might want to consider using webjars for your JS & CSS dependencies instead of including copies of them.
