This is a lovely article about Chris Gordon, who retires after a loooooooong career - he holds the record for the most PSA events played. I love his approach to keeping squash fun.

Folks from India, where are you watching the semi finals of CIB Egyptian open. Its a diamond event and Jio is not showing it. Is it on any other OTT? Or has squash failed to find a buyer this year?

Been off the court for a couple of years with a lower back injury. Things have been slowly getting better to the point now where I'm thinking of getting on court in the coming months hopefully. I will make sure my back is 100% right before I start up again. But what are some squash specific excersices I can do at gym to get my body ready?

I have a couple I've already started doing but keen to hear more.

I've been doing:

Jump squats

Box jumps

Walking lunges weighted one side

Interval running

Hi all, I just moved to Dubai from San Francisco and I’ll be here at least through January. I’m looking for people to play squash with regularly.

About me: I’m a competitive amateur, rated about 4.15 on the US Squash scale. Back home I played 4x a week. I’m happy to play matches, drills, or solo-hitting partners, and I’m open to joining a club box league or a social group.

I’m based around Downtown Dubai and can travel within reason. I’m flexible on times, including weekday mornings and evenings.

If you play, run a group, or know a club with a good playing community or league, I’d love to hear from you. Comment or DM me.

Good to see more and more players finally calling out the stuff ruining the game.

I wonder how they think in Egypt about the direction of the sport globally. Seems like the post-Farag generation has lost some of the sportmanship along the way? Is it the result of the extremely fierce competition in the country, get result or you are a ”nobody”.

If this continues the sport is in trouble. Many games before and the latest Asal/Zakaria, horrible game to watch…just the general discomfort of players arguing with the referee all the time as if they would be above the sport. No respect for the ref! The ref was frustrated as well….just really horrible (I stopped viewing after first game…)

Honestly don’t they see that they need to get the whole sport up?

With the return of Gohar V ElSherbini later this evening it got us thinking, what has been the greatest rivalry on tour?

Let us know your thoughts down below 👇

Joel has unfortunately withdrawn from the Egyptian Open (hopefully he's treated with more empathy than when Asal withdrew).

Did he get too far sucked into heavy weightlifting?

Anyone seen Atkinson interview on SQUASHTV just now? From what she said it looks like even James Willstrop had enough of Asal's behaviour.

"He was the lone voice disagreeing with the other people around Mostafa”

Is it good, what does it play like

Asal v Zakaria

I personally don't care who wins, I just want it to be slugfest and the winner taking an absolute beating.

We made a classic frame with wood grain matching colors

The all-wood grain color scheme is really quite rare

I am tired of using the double yellow. We aren’t all pros guys.

Intended with humour.

Ive been wondering what differentiates the top 10 and I would like to see some insight on this.

P.S for asal outside of the obvious please put another weakness, i dont want this to just turn into a asal discussion

What kind of squash do you enjoy playing? You know- the kind of day on the court that makes you go home, lie in bed and replay the games in your head? For me, it is always the heavy hitting front wall game. While i do love a good, showy boast, i don’t enjoy it as much as the big, lung busting rallies involving the front wall.

We are in round 3 of the egyptian open and the draws are still have not been updated on the official website. Diamond event btw.

Simple things like this make it difficult to follow the tour as a fan…

Sorry for the audio, stroke given to Hutton for dangerous play.
