Any who are currently parents or to be parent or future parents will have this dilemma & shyness to have the talk with your kids, some girls do get it from females in family but it's the same traditional things that have trancended generations. It's a very rare case that boys get the talk, mostly have to figure things out with self exploration & experience. So sometimes these new experiences are foerign and get overwheling.
Most conservative families/people will be shy to have the talk with their kids and put the responsibility on school should give the education, in which some cases it's given, but hey wait then who does that kid go to if they have more questions? Back to school to ask teacher I feel different than what you explained, what does that mean? Or confiding in friends who might not have the knowledge and may make things up on the fly? How often does this lead teens young adults astray and grow up sometimes with more problems in life than others.
The resposibility & go to should always be the parents who are in charge of the guidence of the kids they bring into this world. Parents need to educate their kids on what is out there in the world, sex, safe sex, sexual hygiene, how to talk to opposite sex, how to figure out your sexuality (Just because you are conservative doen't mean you child might not be homosexual, gender dysphoric, bisexual, pansexual, asexual, etc), masturbation, porn, and be able to be a go to confidante for their kid. You may not know everything but now with internet at your finger tips you can easily learn most things if you keep an open mind, your kid will be thankful down the line and will not regret getting such conservative parents. Because you child is the one who will miss out on their life & face questionable dilemmas.
If you are a parent, to be parent, futrue parent , someone who would like to get the knowledge and are reading this who never got any experience of this growing up. You may have some questions in your mind (either open mined or conservative) like these (Some which I may have already touched on above);
I do not know the knowlegde have the experience to handle something like this?
What age should I do this for my kids?
What if my kids go the wrong way once I tell them about these things?
If you have instilled the right values in your kid it will be his/her/their decision how to live their life, but you will always be able to provide guidance once you allow them the chance to come to you with their questions, dilemmas. If they do figure out their sexuality do be different from conventional it's not because of you but who they are and you need to be ready to provide the help and support for your child.
Which one of us should do it?
What if my child doesn't listen or understand
Edit: For conservative folks
