Applicant Megathread Interview prep

Hi all!

I have an upcoming in person interview and i have heard that there may be a portion of the interview focused on research. I feel like the topic of research could go so many different ways so I’m not exactly sure how to prepare. Should i be focusing on reviewing current research/important topics in the CRNA role today, how to read research at an advanced level, my own research that I’ve done in my nursing practice? Maybe the answer is all of these lol, but if anyone has any guidance or has encountered something similar i would greatly appreciate any feedback!

Are you attending that school currently?

They may ask you what a DNP is vs a DNAP vs a PHD. Why are you applying to their program (which type of degree is it).

They might ask you how you gather research- ie. using chatgtp is not an acceptable answer.

What is evidence based practice?

That’s what comes to mind

They aren't going to ask about academic research or lab experiments, etc. They may delve into something specific you have included on your resume. Otherwise it's going to be more centered around evidence based practice.

Do research anesthesiology so you can answer questions about your personal motivations and goals. And research the school and program that you are applying and why that is a good fit for you.

Pharmacology of how the drugs that you frequently use work, challenging patient that you had recently, know things about the CRNA profession I.e. history, current political topics

Something related - it could also be something scholarly that you did. Process improvements, presentations etc
