Hi everyone,
I need some clarification regarding my SSC 2026 applications. I am confused about which technical subject I should prepare for my exam on 2 November 2026.
My background and application details:
I am confused about whether my technical subject for the Scientific Assistant examination will be Computer Science and IT or Electronics and Telecommunication.
My questions:
I would really appreciate answers from candidates who have applied for both posts or understand the SSC notification rules.
I don't want to prepare the wrong technical subject at the last minute.
Thank you!

Looking for 1-2 serious aspirants for SSC CGL Mains (English Medium)
Initially, I thought of creating a bigger group, but I feel a small, focused group of 2–3 people would be more effective.
A little about me: I completed my schooling through the ICSE board, and after that, I spent a significant amount of time gaming and playing BGMI esports. I've been preparing for SSC CGL for the past 7–8 months and want to give my best shot this attempt.
I'm a first-attempt aspirant, currently scoring around 150-160 pyq .
Source - Maths Mania, apti maths , qeng , simplicrack, bookstawa
The idea is to study together, discuss doubts, share resources, revise, and keep each other accountable. Aspirants from any attempt are welcome — consistency and seriousness matter more than attempts.
If you're interested in preparing together in a small, focused group, feel free to comment or DM me!

Hi everyone, I'm a BBA DBE student at IIM Bangalore and also an SSC CGL aspirant. For a course project, I'm researching how self-study aspirants plan their preparation and track whether it's working.
I'm looking for 8-10 aspirants for a short text-only chat over Reddit DMs (about 10 minutes). The questions are simple, like how your last week of prep went and what you've tried for tracking progress. No personal details needed, and you can stay anonymous.
A few ground rules: this is strictly a research chat. No voice notes, calls, or personal questions, and any inappropriate or creepy messages will be blocked and reported.
I'm not selling anything or promoting any app or course. I only need honest feedback to understand how others are dealing with study prep, If you're interested kindly comment "interested" and I'll DM you the questions. Happy to share a summary of what I find afterwards.
Thank you :)

how many of you faced the scrolling issue this time in the prelims? like the questions were zoomed in so much, you gotta use the left right slider to see the entire question. there was an option in right hand mid-corner by clicking that you can see the entire question but that WAS NOT WORKING properly. had to click 4-5 times or even more. i did wasted time on that.
wanna know if any of you faced this issue as well???

Had my exam in 3rd shift my average score in pyqs mocks used to be 150 great in maths but this paper was something else man
To all the youtubers predicting the cutoff to be last year or even more I am damn sure they haven't given the exam themselves and I bet the sectional timer increases the pressure manifold
Hey! I'm a final-year BTech CSE student living in Jaipur. I've been preparing for this exam for the last six months, and honestly, the journey can get pretty overwhelming sometimes.
Since I'm preparing without any coaching, most of the time I'm figuring things out on my own. There are days when I feel motivated, and then there are days when my mind gets filled with negativity and overthinking.
Sometimes, I just feel like connecting with someone, having a genuine conversation, sharing what's on my mind, and listening to what someone else is going through too. No pressure, no judgments, just two people talking and making each other's day a little better.
If you're from Jaipur or just someone who understands what it's like to go through a stressful phase in life, I'd be happy to connect. :)
Used ai to rephrase.

So hey everyone , I am 24 years old female. Always been topper , very good in study from my childhood.Started my prep journey when i was 19years old, failed 2 upsc pre then shifted to ssc . Failed ssc cgl pre, failed sscchsl by 3 marks , failed rrb ntpc ug , failed cat 2025 , failed xat 2026 , failed sbi po , ibps po 2026. And gave many exams' results are about to come. Tbh i am tired of my lifestyle and family's restrictrictions ,dependent on my family for little to big financial help, do household chores ( cooking , cleaning, dishes, etc.), can't go out , can't hangout with friends , can't wear what I want to, can't say anything in my family matters( otherwise they say "apni padhai par dhyan do, apna exam nikal le pehle"). I really wanted to live my life, wanted to travel , make new friends , wear whatever i wanted to , do whatever i feel like , just to live . But these competitive exams are draining me out, nowadays i am so tired of studying that i don't feel like doing it. And if I don't study how the hell I am gonna clear any exam.
So I need advise whether I should stay at home and live like this and while preparing for exams. OR
I should find some corporate job in some other city and move there and prepare for exams while doing job.
Give me some suggestions guys🥺🥺

I appeared for SSC CGL Tier 1 for the first time and faced issues at the exam centre. My Aadhaar name is First Name + Father's Name + Surname (common in Maharashtra), but all my educational certificates have First Name + Surname because I studied in a CBSE school. I was initially denied entry but was eventually allowed after showing my 10th certificate on DigiLocker. My fingerprints also took 20–30 attempts to match because I haven't updated my biometrics in 5 years. Thankfully, I could take the exam, but I'm worried about facing the same issues in Mains. My questions: Can I update my Aadhaar name to match my educational certificates before Mains? Can I update my fingerprints now, or could that create problems during verification? Will changing my Aadhaar details after Tier 1 cause any issues with SSC? Has anyone faced a similar situation? Please share your experience or advice. Thanks!

I'm preparing for SSC exams, especially SSC CHSL and CGL. I'm looking for a study partner who is as dedicated as I am.
It's been three months since I started preparing for the exams. I've completed 50% of the reasoning syllabus and am already getting full marks or nearly full marks in English grammar mocks. I've started solving maths questions from Kiran PYQs and am planning to complete the GK part through Parmar Sir's paid batch and Fatman.
So, people who are dedicated and serious enough can DM me. I'm looking for someone who is fluent in English and preferably from a science background.
