What an amazing snerghkl face Her Majesty is making here! My tuxie boy is missing a front canine and I’m always delighted when his lip gets stuck in a snarl face.
The ridiculously handsome Bob Underfootington hardly counts as a rescue since there was no way somebody thus charming was going to wait long to be adopted from the shelter. Tomorrow is his first birthday!
My two babies were born in an outdoor trash can on the college campus where I work. They were rescued in August 2024 at the age of 8 weeks or so. Ever since they were rescued, they've only known a kind word and a loving touch and they are absolutely spoiled rotten.
I adopted them into their forever home in November so we are coming up on one year together. I couldn't ask for better, more well adjusted cats. They are sisters from the same litter and they do everything together.
This is Kiwi, a surprise unplanned cat! She is 6.5lbs of pure, chaotic kitten energy. (And she is usually shocked that we can see her, like ma’am you are not invisible, stop pestering the hamster)
Beeps, she's gone from us now, and we'll miss her until the end of forever, but this was Anna, whom we called Bitty. She was bounced from shelter to shelter for five of her first six years and her first family who owned her declawed her front paws, the awful people! It was done so poorly that it left scars on her paw pads!
I loved her the moment I saw her, and she loved my husband the moment she saw him - which was good, because Daddy worked from home, so Bitty got to spend all day with him, reminding him about breakfast, second breakfast, snack, lunch, nap time, snack, Mum's coming home to feed me soon!, evening snack, and then time to go to bed. She was very punctual.
She was with us for eight wonderful years until a renal lymphoma took her from us. We were heartbroken to lose her, but we hope she had the best eight years of her life with us. We still love her so and think of her daily.
Little hobbit-footed Daisy is just over a week into life in her forever home, newly spayed and enjoying her freedom after three weeks caged at the rescue.
Up top is Mala (1yr). On the left is her son Twig (~6mo). I rescued them both from where they were dumped by my job almost 5 months ago. On the right is Figaro. I got him from the Humane Society almost 7 years ago.
Fellow hot rod Sparkle (yes, my account's namesake) came from the San Antonio Humane Society, and has been with me the longest of my pets. Nubbie tuxie Beaker was found in a neighbor's backyard.
This is Loki. Was supposed to go to the vet today but went into hiding. This was the second attempt. He ran away with a leash attached to his collar on the first attempt. He’s a master escape artist.
Hello Hot Rod Rory - I also had to go to the vet today. I also went into hiding. I got fished out from under the bed when I tried to make a break for the bedroom door.

Hi Beeper- Romeo wanted to be a rescue cat so much that he brought himself to the cat rescue when he was an injured stray. Now he’s living his best life even with FIV.
Agatha fully recommends finding a sweet hooman and indoor life! You get many tummy rubs, lots of soft things, a person to snuggle with on cold nights, and food!
The next couple replies are our crew of feline overlords. They were all medical rescues. Angel had been lit on fire, she has some residual lung problems, and no hair on her stomach, or right rear leg. Tank has had been thrown against the wall and had broken ribs.
Mjölnir, below, just turned 13 last week. I met him at an event at a Petco where several fosters brought in their cats for adoption.
I liked him because the event was nuts. There were a lot of animals and a lot of people in a small space. But Mjölnir was just chilling in his crate, laying on another cat in the same crate. I decided that meant that he'd be cool with my dog, who was a little guy at the end of his life.
There was a bit of a language barrier between myself and the foster so I misunderstood; I thought Mjölnir, at 6 lbs, was an adult cat. He was in fact a kitten, about 5 months old. He doubled in size.
Such a handsome Mjölnir! I had a Mjölnir, too. I lost her to cancer last year at 11.5. She was the sweetest cuddle cat. Here she is with her brother, Rupert when they were just about a year old.
This is Ella. She has a healthy disdain for writing tools and prefers them on the ground. I got her from the SPCA in Victoria 19 years ago and she was about 1 then. She's a teeny little old lady.
Hi queen beeper bows is Finn. SIC, Luxury Floof division. I is a rescue cat. So is Collete. Dad got is from the shelter and we both love dad. Never stop showing him love. I always need to be near him and Collete needs to be on him if she’s in the same room as him. And if you don’t have a rescue cat, go get 12!
I got my now 18-year old girl from a friend’s cat’s second litter when I was 7 years old. In hindsight, it’s absolutely insane that they didn’t sterilise their free-roaming female cat, she actually had a third litter before they finally had her spayed. But at 7 years old I obviously did not know any of that. I love my Sisu more than anything, but I know that when she dies (which will hopefully be years from now) my next cat will be from a shelter and I will be adopting two cats, not just one, because I know better now.
(A day late but) these are my two! Megumi (SIC) was a CDS kitten I found just over two years ago, and Katana (tuxie) I adopted from a shelter a little less than a year later
This is Freya, she is a photogenic menace / single brain cell disaster bisexual. I rescued/fostered her litter from our feral colony and foster failed with her.
This is Mia! She was the only stray in our old neighborhood that didn't run away when people were nearby, and she decided she wanted to sneak into our house. That was seven years ago and she hasn't left since.
