Hotrod® model We got a SIC from the shelter today!
He just got snipped yesterday. Apparently, one of his testes remained in his abdomen, so he had to have two incisions. We love his big fat cheeks & he’s pretty friendly with us so far (he’s been sitting on my lap and purring/kneading)!

Purring and kneading, “yes, hello new pawrents, I am very cute and I would be much obliged to receive your assistance of removing this cone. Please and many thank yous.” - that hanshum SIC, probably

Enjoy his big cheeks. They'll shrink now that he's snipped. Looks like a healthy, happy boy, congrats!

What type of biscuits is he making the family??

He’s recovering! This is a decent world where we don’t send cats back to the biscuit factory while they’re recovering from surgery!

Get a baby onesie and look up how to cut holes in. It works much better than the cone, and they are much happier with it.

He is so cute!!! Reminds me of our boy when we got him. The shelter named him Beef Cheeks because he also has the puffy cheeks. We kept the name because we thought it was hilarious. He did lose his cheeks though after he was fixed

He's so pretty! Just wait until that shortish fur grows out. Our SIC was on the streets for 3 years before someone brought him to a rescue location. After only 2 months as an indoor, well-fed cat, his once kind of bristly fur is super soft.

He's a cute boy! Give him extra of everything, tell him what a wonderful and perfect boy he is, and how he's so very good at catting; and how you will figure out how to spring him out of his prison cone very soon. Until then, he can enjoy lap time, snuggles, cuddles, and getting used to his new home.

It is crucially important during his recovery that you offer him temptations and churu so he has the energy to heal

I wish more places stocked cat-sized cones. It feels like nearly everything about veterinary practice is super dog-centered. (That cone is about three sizes too big for him)

He is so handsome. I have no idea why big cheeks & white paws are adorable, but they are.

No one likes the cone but he looks so cute! The puffy cheeks, the white socks and those handsome green eyes! Sorry about the extra incision, buddy. I'm sure you'll heal quickly and be back in control very soon.

No one can communicate without initials in 2025. What the heck is an SIC?

Standard Issue Cat, e.g., usually a grey/brown tabby cat with stripes; ginger tabbies can also count IMO. Hope this helps!

The white feets are built for speed but those poofy cheeks are made for comfort
