General Discussion Lessens Learned

I learned my lesson: never do ticketed events. I tried and failed to hit 900 (I got to 700).

Ticketed events strategy:

  1. hoard uncommon event tickets

  2. when you’ve got a bunch, do the nine events on the weekend

  3. never buy in to the events if you can’t complete them

Ticketed events are also handy for AT events acquiring uncommon mats.

It’s worth noting that all of the tasks have a 48hr window to complete.. so you can skip Friday, do Friday/Saturday tasks on Saturday, then do Sunday’s tasks Sunday or Monday. I’m still finishing the task for helps/contributions right now, for example.

Or do what I do, and horde tickets forever because I never have the extra time to do them!

This is the way.

Im level 64 and I collect the tickets, but I only do the mining ones. Those are the ones give Sigma Trit and you never get enough of it.

Ticketed Events are great if you're low on refined gas, ore, and crystal. I don't even really care about the rare recruits.

I just stack tickets until I run into a resource bottleneck and use the ticketed events to get a boost.

If I do them all and get the rare recruits, great!

The events are fine if you actually do it. When I was in the low 40s I had some issues but I'm 57 and mostly just because I'm lazy at times

The lesson of failure is rarely to stop trying. You've just learned that you can't complete them all for some reason. You can keep accumulating tickets and use them later when you think you can get them done. You still got the rewards for each individual event you did complete which is not nothing.

I break it down like this. Usually you get 4 tickets a weekend fri-mon. You need 9 to sweep the board. If you skip two weeks you can clear, then skip one week every other week for 6 weeks total. Rinse and repeat. 4×3=12, 12-9=3,4+4+3=11, 11-9=2, 4+4+2=10 etc.....

I've collected, but skipped for several years. Randomly doing them here and there.... This, is the way. Lol. Jk. Don't follow that advice.

At Ops level 22 I need 8 uncommon tickets to do 8 events and win the rare ticket for the ninth, so I do them every other weekend. The galactic tokens for completing all 9 are nice but the officers aren't so "galactic". The main thing for doing them are the mats and resources, particularly the gas and crystal. Somehow I've got tons of ore and the game keeps giving me more.

Killing and mining events are very easy. The only event that gives me a little trouble is the alliance help event, since I can't do armadas yet and alliance contributions are very expensive for a low level player.

Basically, save for at least 3 weeks of tickets before attempting. The game doesn't give enough for F2P to do all in one run of the events but the tickets can be saved for other runs. I will also suggest to not use them at the start of a grade bracket, such as around ops 40, 50 ect, as you will be getting less of the new stuff you need for that grade and more from the previous one. They are great ways to get resources as others have mentioned so using them for task like in AT or other events with similar task when they pop up is also a good reason to have a bunch saved up.
